I've already tried doing this in the past...the only 2 files i found with something related to those buttons were in templates/templatename/profile_add_body.tpl and the templates/templatename/admin/user_edit_body.tpl and the values didn't change a thing...U mind directing me to the file I need to edit... @lstoverwith I don't see awstats offerend in the Cpanel...I was trying to set that one up on my site manually, but I couldn't find the path of my log file, as far as I know the only way i have access to the logs is via cpanel...not directly...So i just gave up and ran extreme tracking instead. @Jimuni I'm sorry for not stating exactly what i wanted to do, I had to repost when the db crashed and didn't include as much detail as b4. Yes, I'm try to set those buttons to yes by default...mainly, the "always notify me of replies". So, I do want the user to be able to change them, but in case they skip that during registration it will be set to yes instead of no. So, any help is appreciated...

@lstover I apologize for taking to long to reply...some reason I didn't get an email...hehehe...either that or i deleted it by accident... Well, I've already tried messing with tables via phpmyadmin but I didn't get anywhere. This is a screenshot of my table, notice that all 4 fields are the same except for the user_popup_pm which has the default set to 0 which u told me to do with the user_notify field. But if you look at this screenshot from my board when I click register, 2 of the field values are set to no and the other 2 are set to yes. This lead me to the conclusion that it must be something else than simply just changing the default value in the tables from 1 to 0. BTW, I am running a different style, not the default subsilver...

I'm taking a huge leap here...u don't happen to have a .htaccess file on that directory. If so, that could be the reason its denying u accesss...

no..don't do the entire forum...just the upload directory like i said...read my previous post..all should be fine...

I'm assuming you wanted to delete the forums so u could start over...and if you are having trouble deleting stuff via ftp...i suggest using the file manager on cpanel...for some reason i've encountered that problem as well...Shell access or the cpanel file manager can delete anything...so try the file manager...

I'm assuming u are using phpbb, and if u are, this must be the most asked question on the phpbb forums....normally they forget to goto the admin configuration set the avatar path accordingly preferrably images/avatars/uploads...create the directory and then chmod it to 777...hope this helps ...BTW, i saw ur site...good start but i couldn't access ur forums...

Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I've been posting here already but i never had a chance to introduce myself... Well, I signed up here a little over a week ago (1 year silver plan) and my initial impressions are good. Haven't had any major problems with my site and your service seems reliable and fast. This is my second webhost ever, I transferred over here after trying one terrible webhost out for 15 days and boy were they lousy. Out of the 15 days i used them, I must have had only 7 days uptime...lol Well, I look forward to my yearly subcription here and hope your service stays as good as it is right now. BTW, would it be wrong to ask how many customers this webhost has..I'm just curious. I gather Head Guru is the head honcho around here, who else works here...I've talked to the yahoo messenger rep a few times...don't know if its the same dude or not. Thanks, Dave

Lets C....OK...once u register a domain name through a registrar, I believe u are screwed as most are non refundable...So that pretty much stays...with your registrar u have the ability to change which dns servers they point to so make sure they are set up to point here I guess if u already have an account here at *****... As for putting the wrong info when registering here...I don't know what u can do about that..u have to ask them... D

hehe..I just got rejected for a request I made to get shell acess....seems like very few cheap webhosts allow shell access for security reasons...pity
