  1. Welcome to the family Carol! Are you getting any error messages? The username that you are using for your POP3 should be entered as user@****** and then the password you assigned for that account.
  2. Welcome to the family, GalaTime! And welcome home.

  8. Welcome to the family! Need more help, just ask.
  9. You need to use an FTP client or the file manager to set permissions on files and folders.
  10. Go to the folder you installed the forum. You should have an images folder. In that folder there should be a folder called avatars. That is the folder that needs 777 permissions. Next there should be a templates folder at the same level as the images folder. In that folder are folders for what ever themes you have installed. In each of the theme folders is where the template files can be found.
  11. To upload avatars you need to set the avatar folders permissions to 777. You will have to edit the overall_header.tpl template to be able to add a link.
  12. As Thomas says, please read TCH-Rob's post. Closing thread.
  13. Twelve, When it asks for a user name and password don't use your cpanel user name and password. Enter a username you want to use to administer the forum and a password for that user. You need to install the forum into a folder in your domain space. So if you want to install it into a folder called "forums" enter "forums" in the blank field.
  14. Have you created the database? And have you added a user to the database? Have you modified the mt.cfg file to include ObjectDriver DBI::mysql And did you update the mt-db-pass.cgi to only include your password?

  16. If someone logs in using the example you provided they will only have access to the "forum" folder and every thing below it. They will not be able to move up the directory tree. Cpanel shows that when you log in with the account name they will be redirected to that folder. Sorry, don't know what the differences are for the original four

  24. Whoa, you should be able to read your mail in all three webmail clients unless you created folders in Neomail and moved the messages to them. Same with Horde and Squirrel mail. If you have messages in your inbox in one they should also be there in the other two. If that's not the case, please open a help desk ticket link above and have one of the techs take a look.
