You can install a version of Invision right from cPanel once your account is activated.

If you have tried with port 25 and port 26 and it still gives errors your ISP may be blocking both ports. You could always set up the outgoing mail server for your account to your ISP. I have done that when this occurs and it works fine.

Yes, I knew it could be anywhere and parsed correctly. That's just the first time I've ever seen anyone type it in that order.

Welcome to the forums heronbeth If you move the config.php file outside your public_html folder as stated above it will be quite safe. -
Who is your ISP?
-
Do you have the SSL box checked under the SMTP port? If so, uncheck it.
-
Interesting. That's the first time I have ever seen the target before the href.

Hi Colette and welcome to the forums Do you have a title in your "index.html" page?

You database name will be your-tch-name_database The user name will be your-tch-name_user And remember to add the user to the database that you create.

Hi Eric, and welcome to the forums. Can you give us the URL you are entering or better yet are you entering it like this? >http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/~your-tch-user-name/mt/mt-check.cgi This is assuming that you loaded MT in to a folder called "mt" in the public_html folder.

I was just going by the contents of the dbsender script itself. Thanks for the assist David.

Welcome to the forum LaMpiR Depends on your server if it is configured to run PHP scripts with permissions set to 770. You may have to set them to 777. Does the /httpdocs/backup folder exist? Does it have write permissions? I beleive the path should be the FULL path to your backup folder. Something like /home/username/httpdocs/backup

Hi Concordia and welcome to the forums. You need to purchase a domain name to host a site here. You can purchase a domain name through TCH or any valid registrar.

In cPanel you can install the extensions if they are not already installed. However, not all Frontpage components work on Apache servers and that is what TCH is running. There are several guestbook programs available written in PHP that you can install though. Viper would be a good choice.

If it is /backups that folder should be at the same level as the public_html folder with permissions of 777
-
While it can be done you should use a form on your website instead of an email link. Unless you like spam. ><a href=mailto:some-addy.ext?subject=what ever your subject is">

One of the reasons I didn't offer an opinion. But most Sony PCs come with video editing software on them as well.

Glad you have it working

You need to install them yourself. But you can ask questions in the scripting forum if you need help.
