The only thing I can think of is you don't have an account set up for John or you are using the wrong password. Can you check it with webmail? If so, I would recommend Thunderbird or another email client. I've seen a lot of people suddenly start having problems with Outlook and Outlook Express. Don't know if there is something wrong with those applications or not but it's getting very weird lately.

Did you create an account for user John? I know it's an obvious question but has to be asked. If all else fails, open a ticket with the help desk and have them check the account.

Welcome to the forums kook44 Yes, it's possible to host here and have email somewhere else. I have not done it but it would require that the MX records get updated correctly to route mail elsewhere.

To answer the second part of your question. Yes it's possible but I have never done it. The MX records would need to be changed to route mail somewhere else.

Welcome to the forums Pele Have you tried making a backup of the data base on the one machine and then restoring that back up on the new machine using phpAdmin? This is different than just copying the file from one machine to another.

You have checked the obvious settings I assume. Like your incoming mail server is mail.your-TCH-domain.ext and that you are using your full email address for the user name.

Since the email was addressed to your actual email address the only way to prevent getting it is to filter it by subject.

First step: Don't post your actual email address publicly!

Open a ticket with the help desk and report this please.

Remember to change them back after updating your permalinks otherwise it's possible someone else can update your .htaccess file. That's the reason I use the cPanel File Manager program to edit the .htaccess file. You don't have to change permissions that way.
