Well I only use FTP for uploading. I've taught many people how to use FTP. Although sometimes a challenge it works.

Welcome to the forums sdc121 I have no idea what you are attempting to do nor have I ever tried using MySQL commands in a .htaccess file. Maybe someone else can help.

Welcome to the forums ZPWeeks Don's suggestion is a good one but I've had issues trying to extra files from a zip file if they already exist. Just something to watch out for.

A 400 error is a bad request. If I remember correctly LiveWriter uses the .NET Framework. Make sure you have the latest. I only briefly played with LiveWriter a long time ago. I either use the WP admin interface to blog or BlogDesk.
