Sql+error Can't Get Into Site, Help!
TCH-Bruce replied to MOONDAWG2005's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Backup the database and then go into phpAdmin and rebuild the tables. If that doesn't work you can ask the help desk to restore the database for you if they have a backup. -
I don't have an answer but do people really use these online backup systems? I wouldn't trust anything important to be sitting out in cyberspace where I didn't have full control over it. With all the free/low cost online solutions available is this really something you want to get involved with? I would imagine it would require lots of disk space as well as very large amounts of bandwidth. Just my thoughts.

Yes, you can have your virtual accounts moved into a reseller account with no problems or cost involved. The techs can migrate your accounts over.

Adding Cc And/or Paypal To Existing Website
TCH-Bruce replied to peteny77's topic in Running your online business
Welcome to the forums Pete To add a paypal transaction processor to your site you should check out the PayPal site. They have lots of information there for adding buttons to your site and will provide you with the links to add to your website in order to take payments. To accept credit card transactions you will need a merchant account and some shopping cart software. And if you go the credit card route you will also want to get a dedicated SSL certificate for your site. -
Or if you had a dedicated server you could remove the restrictions.

As Thomas says it could be your browsers cache causing the issues. I don't like the new File Manager program in cPanel. It seems quirky to me sometimes as well. If you use the Legacy File Manager the issues you are mentioning never seem to happen.

Some domain registrars will allow you to backorder the domain name so that when it becomes available they will try and reserve it for you.

I suggested downloading it so you had a copy of the original.

What I Need For Hosting Multiple Websites?
TCH-Bruce replied to jamestl2's topic in Pre-Sales Questions
Reseller sites are targeted at users with many sites or large sites. Growth is not an issue as you can migrate plans up/down pretty easily. If you create a plan in the web host manager saying they are alloted 100MB bandwidth when it hit's 80% of that they will be emailed telling them they are reaching the limit. If you do nothing and they exceed the 100MB limit the site will become suspended. Just as it would with a regular hosting account. You have that control. It does not use any unused or unallocated bandwidth from your reseller account. -

A reseller plan allows for a set amount of bandwidth and disk space. You can host as many domain as you wish until they reach that limit. With a reseller plan you set up your own plans with in the reseller plan and assign them to the domains you will host. These plans you decide how much disk space, number of email addresses, etc they can have. If you are going to host 4 or less domains it is more cost effective to have separate accounts for each. Once you hit 5 or more you should consider the reseller method if the sites are small. -
Use an FTP program and copy the index.html page from that directory to your PC. Save a copy of it in it's original form. Edit a copy to say what you want it to say and FTP it back.

What Do I Need To View My Raw Access Logs?
TCH-Bruce replied to adorablepixels07's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Notepad will allow you to view the file. It's just a text file. Or you can Google and find a log file analyzer which will work similar to AwStats on the server. -
I used to use Gallery and I set the permissions to 777 and never had a problem.
