If you have trouble remembering a good password the help site > freebies has a link to a password keeper called any password. Encrypted and easy to use, will make it easier for you to use a hard to remember password and even generate one for you with numbers and upper and lower case letters. You can even add the login and URL to open a site. Such as your secure cpanel so you click on the URL icon to open https://server?.totalchoicehosting.com:2083 then you can copy and paste the login and password to the login box with a few mouse clicks. For something as valuable as your cpanel you need to use a very hard password.

After a quick look, try $serverRoot = '/home/yourcpanelusername/html'; $privateRoot is for a folder that you create above your html folder to store config files. so create a folder named private in your root folder (above the html) with an ftp program or filemanager, ant then $privateRoot =' /home/yourcpanelusername/private'; $mailprog = '/usr/sbin/sendmail'; is correct. However you may want to also look at some php programs to sendmail, as they may be easier to use.

I use a program called Group Mail Free. It uses your ISP. You can set it to send 20 at a time then pause 5 seconds and continue for up to 100 in a group to satify your ISP as they will have a limit of how many you can send at once. And you can have many groups and send the message to the next group....... You should include an optout message at the bottom. hope this helps.

Yes you can upgrade. And you can get another domain name for your reseller account and have support move your curent account into your reseller account.

If you use cpanel in a secure mode, then file manager is also secure

Once you have your site in place here, you can goto your domain register and change the name servers to the ones given to you in your welcome e-mail. Then in up to 72 hours your domain will point here and you can ftp to your domain as well as the http://server##.totalchoicehosting.com/~username method. In cpanel > MySql > at the bottom below the databases. It took me a while to spot it too.

I do not add my sub domains, just the http:domain and http:www.domain Sometimes hotlinking stops all aimages and I have to turn it off for a while, til the images work again. the I turn it back on and I keep the list of authorized domains in a text file as some of them get lost when holtlink is dissabled.

Welcome poolplaya You can order your hosting account anytime. As to the password, start a help ticket (link above) use lost as the password for the help ticket and request that they reset it for you, be sure to include an e-mail address not from that site.

I would open a help ticket to ask the techs to move your site over. As you have cpanel on both, it is easier for them. When they moved mine it was very quick. Its worth a try. I tried the full backup, but could not get it to restore. Later with another account, I tried the Home Directory backup and then in cpanel restore a Home Directory backup and it seems to work fine. But if you are on a dial-up the techs can do it much faster.

In IE when you goto ftp.yoursite.com and see the incoming folder, I goto the file menu and select login as. And all is well. Does this work on the Mac as well?

I had to lower the score to 6 to get my forms to pass through. Its worth a try, but some of the spam will get through then. But its a lot less than without spam assassin.

Have you tried squirrel mail? yourdomain/sqmail I like it a little better than horde.
