Thanks for replies. Since the clips would not be run on the server, it would seem that something's wrong in my implementation. I believe TCH-Glenn is referring to "absolute" paths - yes, I have used absolute and relative paths in the code, but to no avail. It may be how I am copying and saving the .dcr file. I am opening the .dcr zip in Notepad, changing the file extension, and uploading it as a binary. As for the AUP regarding permissions for video clips, I would have all necessary copyright permissions, and the clips would be G-rated. So I am assuming permissions may refer to this clause: "You are prohibited from excessive consumption of resources, including CPU time, memory, disk space and session time. You may not use resource-intensive programs which negatively impact other customers or the performance of TotalChoice Hosting systems or Hosting. TotalChoice Hosting reserves the right to terminate or limit such activities." ??

I can't get it to work with .swf or .dcr. I think it would need to be run on the server, though I'm not sure. (I've never worked with Flash before.) I was trying to use a .dcr script for a flash game on my site, so I uploaded it into my public_html directory. But for some reason it doesn't load on my html game page. However, when I call the .dcr cript from another web site, it loads fine on my page. Does TCH allow .dcr scripts? If so, what am I doing wrong? Thanks for any info.

I have my domain, thebodycalculator.com, registered at Registerfly.com - but the nameservers are pointing to TCH, where it has been hosted for the past two months. And everything works great. Now that two months are about to pass since I registered at RegisterFly, I would like to switch registrars to TCH. How do I do that? And, when it's done, will I be able to manage my domain at secureserver.net? (Right now when I type in my domain at secureserver.net, I get an Invalid error.) Also, how do I renew my TCH web hosting Starter Package - is it done at secureserver.net, or at another url? Thanks for now.

I'm having the same problem with ws_ftp, disconnecting after 300 seconds...but only with certain hosts. Don't know why. Settings all seem the same.

Wow. That was fast. I changed my nameservers and it has already propogated. Everything works fine. cPanel seems easy to use. I am ftping successfully. I may soon decide to transfer one of my registered domains from Yahoo, currently costing me $19.00 per month. John

Thanks very much. If I have an account or the Starter Package at TCH, will I be able to ftp to my site once the nameservers are changed? Or will I have to wait 60 days for the domain transfer to go through? How do I sign up with TCH without a domain? I won't be able to host my site at TCH until 60 days? Will speed and resolution of my site be enhanced if only the nameservers are changed? Right now my site fails to come up 30 percent of the time at Registerfly. Should I wait before sending my domain to the search engines? Thanks again.

Several posters from Sitepointforums recommended TCH, so I am inquiring. I am happy with my current host, but want my next site to be on a different host, so as not to depend totally on one host. First Question: with my current host, using php is easy. The scripts are mostly cut-and-past from hotscripts, etc. All I do is just use the .php extension and ftp my pages like any others. Is it more complicated with TCH? Do I have to use phpadmin (whatever that is?) Second Question: I have a new (2 days old) domain at Registerfly. According to what I read on your site a transfer must wait 60 days. Is there a way to speed up this process? I could change ownership of my new domain from Registerfly to another email account I have. Would that speed things up?
