I tried KMail, but it always seems to crash on me in Fedora Core. I know the mail directory is stored in /home/<username>/.kde/share/apps/kmail. In fact, you can probably just grab the entire .kde folder to move your settings over without any issues.

It appears that the router replacement was behind schedule and did not begin until much later than we were told and also lasted longer than expected. If you do have any issues, please open a ticket with the help desk and we will be happy to assist you.

Greetings TCH Family, We have received notice from our upstream provider that they will be replacing a router tonight. The maintenance window is slated to begin between 11:00 - 11:30PM EST. This will bring the network in the data center down for 10-20 minutes as it is replaced. The replacement of this router is beginning of a network overhaul which will increase the available bandwidth as well as add in additional redundancy to the network. After tonight the upstream provider will be adding additional routers to the network for redundancy, but we should not experience downtime for future maintenance. Steve, The custom php.ini file does not work as this is normally used in a phpsuexec environment. You can try the following alternate flag option in .htaccess: php_admin_flag allow_url_fopen off File uploads are enabled on the servers, though to check the server your account is on you can open a help desk ticket and we can look into it. Lastly, for the disable functions directive, you can try using the php_admin_flag setting to see if that will make the needed change locally.

The one drawback to hosting using your domain with Blogger is that you would need to have something to manage your DNS entries. What blogger provides is the entries to point your domain to the blogger account and not nameservers. I currently use google apps with one of my domains, where the hosted part is on the server with TCH but certain records pointed towards google. Since you don't have a hosting account with us, the domain is not handled by our nameservers.

The router reboot took less time than expected, and as you can see from reading this post we are back online.

Greetings TCH Family, We have received notice from our upstream provider that they will be performing maintenance tonight. The reason for this is that they were hit with a large scale Denial of Service attack which caused their core router to become unstable. They need to reboot the router to remedy the issues and this will cause servers in the data center to become unreachable for 5-10 minutes. The maintenance is currently schedule for 12:00AM EDT. We will post any additional updates as we receive them.

While we do understand your concern with the migration to php5, we have made the decision not to run both versions in parallel. Since php5 is roughly 95% backwards compatible with php4, most scripts will have little to no issue with the transition. Most of the changes that broke compatibility were huge improvements in the codebase and really meant as fixes to v4, how they should have been done originally. php5 is already 4 years old and most of the major scripts offered through fantastico and offered around the web are compatible. So while php4 will have security releases issued, it will become an unsupported platform quickly.

I used to do this regularly, just setup a forward for specific sites. I found out quickly who was selling my address, since I used the name of the site or shop in the name.

Just to confirm, our current schedule for the roll-out for PHP5 does not have a solid date. We are currently shooting for December 31, 2007 as the day to have this done by. Once our testing and planning nears completion, we may have a much closer and firm date to give. Rest assured we will keep everyone updated with time enough to prepare yourselves.

Wayne, You can change Thunderbird to use inline forwarding instead of doing so as an attachment. Go to Tools -> Options and then select Composition. At the top is the option to change 'Forward messages' from 'As Attachment' to 'Inline'.

Mike, Alpha 5 appears to be a Windows application, so we wouldn't host it. All of our dedicated and shared servers are Linux based.
