It’s the flux-capacitor thats broke!

The reason we dont allow add-on domains is really simple. SPEED and UPTIME. If we were to allow user to simply add on domains then our servers would become slower and slower and slower. The companies that allow add on domains IMHO are not thinking with their head but only their wallet. Example: Let say we allow 10 Domains per server and we know that allowing ten domains gives us 40% headroom. So when the server reaches 10 domains we stop selling it. Build a new server and move on. This server has a 40% headroom. Meaning even if every domain maxed out with bandwdith and CPU load we would still have a 40% margin. Continuing with this thought, lets say we want to maintain a minimum headroom of 15%. We dont sell that server out to 20 domains because we need to watch it and monitor it for at least six months. Then after looking at things for six months we can decide if we want to add a domain or two on it and try to achieve that golden number of 15%. But that TAKES time. Watching and learning. Not every site has the same load pull or use patterns. We are happy, and the clients love us. Lets say you allow add-on domains. That really throws a monkey wrench in server planning. So if loosing a potential customer here or there means happiness for all others then so be it!

Maybe yourhostsucks doesnt want people to know that there are good web hosting firms on the planet? There was a naysayer that stated TCH was a new company and I simply responded with the facts! Well im just so happy that a search for totalchoice hosting on google now shows a Your Host Sucks thread. What really stinks is you can not find a reference of point on that site now, meaning prospects will think we suck. Thank you you guys your efforts do not go unnoticed! You are true great customers! I just wish Mods would get a clue on the reality of running a site.

The logs are processed daily, they are not deleted daily. Your raw error log will show for 30 days and will roll over at the start of each calendar month. With that said, we may have lost some stats when we completed the upgrade to Cpanel 6 - however the upgrade to six was a 100% must as a security flaw was found in cpanel5.

Well, I try to even please them. I give them full refunds and tell them sorry it didnt work out.

Thanks for the kind words. I started this web hosting business because I knew I could provide a better service and a better price. I think I was right. Its about honesty, intregrity and treating a customer like they are king. I remember when I was a lad, my father always told me customer is king. He was right. The thing that is so great about this business are clients like you. There is a certain competitor of mine who uses the phrase “We aim to please 99% of our customers”. While he is a nice guy, I would hate to be in that 1%. I want everyone to know how hard we are working to make things right. There have been some minor bumps along the road. Moving to two new help desk systems in less than a year, changing credit card processors, upgrading our billing system and ordering system. With each step are closer and closer to perfection. Examples of prohibited web site content: Materials which hold TotalChoice Hosting including its affiliates, employees or shareholders up to public scorn or ridicule. Materials which encourage the commission of a crime; or which tends to incite violence; or which tends to degrade any person or group based on sex, nationality, religion, color, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disability or political affiliation. Security Any site that offers hostees or free or fee based accounts under the subdomain of its master account. These types of sites severely degrade system performance and are NOT allowed.

There have been reports of some security flaws in Cpanel 5.2.3 or below. You may read more about the bugs at the following URL: http://www.securityfocus.com/archive/1/312...16/2003-02-22/0 If your server is managed by TotalChoice Hosting Services, or you have a hosting account on one of our servers, I have just personally upgraded all Cpanel servers to Cpanel 6.0.0-EDGE Build 65. This version fixes the bugs listed in the above URL and also many other bugs that are not related to security. Thanks for your time.

The problem is that you appear to have created a folder called /foreverkiefer and then created the sub domain. This can be told by reviewing the creation date/time stamps. Move your content out of the folder, delete the folder. Then pop into cpanel and delete the sub-domain. Then re-create the subdomain foreverkiefer. At that point you can move your contents back into the newly created folder. Allow time for DNS to pop and you should be working. Thanks
