I got this error message when I try to install the board, how do I fix it?

Are you doing a self install or the install from your cpanel?

There isnt much that could go wrong, try uninstalling it and re installing it. If you still get the error submit a help dek ticket here:

Thanks, I already tried 3 times, but I'll try again later. If it's still not working then I'll sumbit a ticket to the help desk

Go into CPANEL and then select Mysql option. You will need to create a database and add a user to it. Remember to write down the user name and database name and the passwords. You will need this to enter into the setup.

 

If you still have a problem, then please, do start a help ticket!

I took a look at your account and found the problem.

 

There is a known bug in cPanel. SQL does not work with usernames containing a - in the username.

 

You will need to submit a support ticket, and we will need to change your username and get rid of that pesky - in it.

 

Once this is done you should have no problems autoinstalling IPB.

 

Drop a ticket and we can fix it.

With the one click install from cpanel it creates its own database
