Post I Made Deleted?

Recommended Posts

I hope I just can't find it, but I hope a post I made regarding a problem with TCH service (that I later admited was not a problem after all - it was an error on my part) wasn't deleted. The post was regarding a question I had about the MySQL server address. It ended with a remark about the Help Desk system. (It was about all help desk systems, not just this one.)

Like I said, I hope I just can't find it, but according to my "Last 10 Posts" I haven't made a post since Aril 2nd - and this was Thursday - Friday. This doesn't seem like something TCH would do - so I'm probably making a mistake.

There has been a major push on board clean up here, we have moved tons of stuff around.

It may have been moved, deleted or lost. I know that about 100 postings were lost just a couple days ago when we starting moving threads around and so on, I know this only because Bill Kish told me about it.

However, we NEVER delete any thread unless its warranted.

Why is that people always assume that certain things are done purposely. I dont get that about this biz.

There are over 8000 posts on this board, since there are only three admins with delete privys blame one of us. Were adults we can take it :)

I even stated in my original post that I didn't think TCH would do such a thing.. but it is the norm (overwhelmingly so) for hosting companies to remove negative comments from their forums. I haven't seen any instance of this here, but it did strike me as odd that my thread was gone a day after I posted it. That's it. No biggy. Not blaming anyone for anything.

Too busy trying to find an easy way to admin a sql database (and have some computer illiterates do the same... anyone have any suggessions for a dummy-proof sql manager? These people arn't going to understand creating queries or anyhting like that.

Anyone know anyone that would write a VB interface for cheap? :) It's for a non-profit organization so they dont have much money for these things... (really)

Thanks!

I suggest that you look into PHP rather than VB, since TCH supports PHP and doesn't support VB :-)

Since I dont know you that well Mikey can I blame Tony? I am sure its an Arkansas thing.

Sure, blame the hillbilly. Just because I walk around barefooted, with a piece of grass sticking out of my mouth,

does that automatically mean I can find the delete button? :)

Or maybe I could just say.....

"I dd not make contact with the delete button" :D

HAHA! Tony, the things that separate us is that in Arizona we have no grass and walking barefoot means your flesh will melt to the ground in the summer. Does that qualify you to find the delete key? Not if you cant find the any key. ;) We are also the state with more cowboys than cows.

Mikey, whats a water tower? I always hear of that and snow but have never seen either. Is it like a snipe hunt, doesnt exist but makes you laugh at the fool looking for it?

tastewar, no thanks I dont eat anything cooked on spit. Fire or no I just dont think it is sanitary. :P

I still dont know what these water tower things are. I suppose if we had water we would see these things more often. I guess in a state with no water there is no need for a water tower. We do get many days over 110 and over 100 days over 100 degrees. Oh, we also have more boats per capita than any other state. The only other claim to fame for Arizona is me but we wont go into that at this time :D
