Hey

We are currently hosted with TCH, and we registered our domain names with you as well. We are considering purchasing a resllers account. What I wish to know is, how do we transfer our existing domain names? And also are we able to close our current hosting accounts with you? If so, how?

Thanks very much :)

To transfer from a standard account to a reseller, you just need to enter a help desk ticket. If memory serves, support will then send you a link to pay for the reseller account. After you have paid for the reseller account, support will transfer your current hosting account(s) to the reseller account for you.

Just make sure you give all of the information in your help desk ticket. If you have multiple domains hosted, select one to be the "main" reseller domain and list the other accounts you have that should fall under the reseller account.

Any new domains (that aren't currently hosted) you will just set up in WHM after your reseller account is set up.

I have followed up with a billing ticket after everything is transfered just to confirm that the billings for the standard hosting accounts have been cancelled.

Hi Griff.

Yes you can transfer all of your existing accounts into your reseller account and cancel the existing packages.

When you sign up for the reseller account, you can choose whether to have us migrate all of your accounts for you (there's no charge for that), or do them yourself.

If you have any more questions, please ask.

Erm, my partner in this reseller venture has just pointed something out. Basically, the two websites we want to move are under different names. We want to consolidate them so they are just under one name. Is this ok? Will we need to provide any other information for the moval of the second domain to take place?

Just wanted to make sure before we sign up and find out that it can't be done.

Thanks guys

Yes, it's possible. Move the main domain name you want to move and then once it's done open a help desk ticket and request that the second domain be parked on top of the domain you just moved. There are no extra fees involved.

Brilliant. Sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions, I just wanna make sure everything is ok before I make the move

You guys have been a great help

OK, guys and gals. I'm going to throw a slightly different twist on this one.

Personally, I have two accounts hosted by TCH. My business is taking off so I am considering a reseller account. According to this thread, you can move them over for me no problem. (You guys are the best!)

Now, here is where it gets interesting. I've also designed commercial sites for both my brother's and sister's business. Upon my recommendation, they are both also hosted at TCH, but bro and sis pay the bills.

How do I go about having these sites moved to my reseller account?

Thanks.

When you have a reseller you decide which sites that are hosted in your reseller account. If brother and sister wants to move to your reseller account it should not be any problem.

As for billing, I cant tell you that since Im only a customer.

If we are going to move them then we will need the cPanel information from all of the accounts. You will want to get yours moved and then create the packages you want to give them. At that point open a helpdesk ticket to have them moved. Be as explicit as you can when making your request.

Please remember though that there will only be one bill with TCH as a reseller. Whether you pay by PayPal, credit card or whichever there will be the charge for the reseller account and you'll have to get the others to pay you if you wish them to contribute. This is good for resellers because they can add their own touches and charge a little extra and it's good for TCH because there is only one bill to deal with.
