Hi, Lazarus Guestbook and advanced guest book is not the same. Lazarus is an rewriting of advanced guest book (as I understand) with new features and as I understand a bit more secure. I just successfully downloaded the microscope file. Went straight to the file and IE asked me if I wanted to save or run. No save target as... used. Did you try downloading with another browser?

Finally it´s here and the weather guys says it´s here to stay. 28C (82F), Sun, birds singing, no rain in sight... If I just had a laptop...oh well, I guess I can´t have everything.

If you can´t change the permission for skin_global.php or the changes don´t get saved in this file (in this case) you will need to open a ticket. Since your forum was moved as I understand, the chance is that the help desk needs to change the ownership of the files. To change the permission through the file manager in cpanel: 1. find the file 2. click the underline 3.fill the boxes with the numbers 4. click the "change" button. Don´t forget to change back the permission when the file is modified.

I don´t use coppermine at the moment so I don´t know how the upgrade process is today, but generally, replace the files they say and leave the others as they are. The new version (1.4.8 in this case) may as you say have a newer filename for anycontent.php but its code might not have changed depending if they haven´t found any problems with it.

Ok. Reason I ask is because I have a friend in Sunderland who I have trouble to understand on the phone etc because of her mackem talk. Btw... her husband have problem understading her too (he is from London), which makes me happy knowing I am not alone.

Never heard of it but is it in your part of the UK they talk "mackem"?

I am not sure, but I think it´s up to them when it will be upgraded so I would go for a manual upgrade which I think is just as simple as if you installed it manually the first time. Brief tutorial: 1. Backup your wordpress directory through cpanel + the database (Very important) 2. Download the new version from wp´s site and extract it on your own machine. 3. Disable eventual plugins 4. Upload all files & folders to the wordpress directory except wp-config.php 5. Run the update file (ie http://yourtchdomain.com/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php) 6. Enable plugins
