TCH-Thomas replied to Probedude's topic in Looking for......
If my memory aren´t doing anything bad to me, I believe it will be emailed to you and then you can tell the current registrar the code and the transfer begins. -
From: Secunia secunia.com/advisories/27248/ Rating: Extremely critical Description: A vulnerability has been reported in RealPlayer, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system. The vulnerability is caused due to a signedness error in MPAMedia.dll when handling playlist names. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by e.g. importing a file into a specified playlist with an overly long name via the RealPlayer IERPCtl ActiveX control (ierpplug.dll). Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code. NOTE: The vulnerability is currently being actively exploited. Solution: Apply patch for RealPlayer 10.5 and 11 beta: service.real.com/realplayer/security/191007_player/en/securitydb.rnx

Edited My .htaccess File, Site Now Down
TCH-Thomas replied to jgk1013's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Welcome to the forum, jgk1013. I see a site on that address, so it looks like it´s fixed now. If you still can´t see it try clear your cache or try with another browser and see if it then works. -
This seems to be correct, click. I tried this and on the forwarding page it says what you quote. Note that it says "You can forward your mail to...custom domains". Then when I hit save it says I can not. 2 messages that says against each other.

Welcome to the forum, Inu. You don´t need to know anything about mysql to host here at TCH, plain html or php will do fine.
-
There should be options to activate all of this in the admin, unless some of them are add-ons you have manually added and needs to do again.
-
By the looks of the forum it looks like its probably the latest version in the 2x series. What things are not working in the admin?

I forgot the following so I put it in a new post... If your have a backup of an existing phpbb forum on your local computer (the rar file) you could upload it to the public_html directory and submit a ticket and ask the techs to restore this too.
-
Ok, not sure which one of the following that applies to you so pick one. 1. If this is an existing phpbb forum that you have run on another server and when you say you have the phpbb files you mean a backup of that existing forum: If you want to upload the files yourself, we have a ftp tutorial here including info about ws_ftp. Basically you would need to tell ws_ftp the following info: Username: your cpanel username Password: The password given by TCH FTP Account: ftp.tregonia.net Directory you would want to upload to is public_html I don´t use ws_ftp but this is the info all ftp programs asks for although the fields in ws_ftp can be named something else though. Then you would need to upload the database backup which can be a bit tricky so the best is to upload the database backup to the public_html directory and submit a ticket to the help desk and ask them to restore the database. 2. If this is a new phpbb forum installation you will need to follow the installation instructions found here.
-
I am not really sure I understand what it is you have done or what you have not done, so... 1. Do you have a copy of your phpbb forum files and the database on your local computer? 2. Or are the phpbb forum still on another server?

Welcome to the forum, Extreme. The welcome email should have been sent to the email (hotmail, gmail etc) you gave TCH when purchasing your hosting account and not to ****** email.

From: Secunia secunia.com/advisories/27277/ Rating: Highly critical Description: Two vulnerabilities have been reported in Opera, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and to compromise a user's system. 1) Opera may launch external email or newsgroup clients incorrectly. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary commands by e.g. visiting a malicious website. Successful exploitation requires that the user has configured an external email or newsgroup client. 2) An error when processing frames from different websites can be exploited to bypass the same-origin policy. This allows to overwrite functions of those frames and to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of other sites. The vulnerabilities are reported in all versions of Opera for Desktop prior to version 9.24. Solution: Update to version 9.24. www.opera.com/download/

If you want your hotmail to go to any other address, there is a forwarder setting in hotmail to do this. If you want the other way around, there are a forwarder option in your cpanel.
-
That is how I would do it.
