Might be time t look in to another mailing list script such as DADA mail which have this feature and is being used by other TCH customers.

If the renaming etc works sometimes and sometimes not and you have cleared cache or closed the browser and checked again (and its still have the old name), I would try another browser or open a ticket and ask the techs to look in to it.

The Web Host Manager is like an advanced control panel for all the domains you are hosting under your umbrella so to speak. You can read more about WHM here.

In cpanel... Open file manager then highlight the folder in question then click the icon on top of the page (the key icon) mark all checkboxes for permission 777 and save it all. In an ftp program you usually right click the folder select properties and check all boxes or enter 777 in a field there

You are correct. To have the sites using their own domain names you would need a reseller account, or several virtual accounts. Without knowing how many sites/domains you plan to create, recommending which virtual plans to purchase is difficult, it all depends how much space and bandwidth you need. But you can always upgrade/downgrade them at any time. If you go reseller, you will be given access to a Web host manager (an advanced cpanel) where you can administrate your hosting accounts. Each domain inside your reseller account will have their own cpanel too. If you go virtual, they will all have cpanel as you have today.

How did you try to replace the logo? I would rename your own logo to vbulletin3_logo_white.gif and upload it to forums/images/misc/

That´s good to hear and while I don´t know what is causing this, I can assure you that the techs here will do their best to help solving this as fast as possible.

The htaccess file is simply a text file you can place in public_html. Depending what you put in this file you can control access, errorpages etc. Here is more info about what you can do with this file: javascriptkit.com/howto/htaccess.shtml

Do the people you do not want to have access have a static or dynamic ip address. If dynamic, their ip will change quite often.

I forgot to say, that you could submit a ticket through the helpdesk link at the top of this page and see if that works better or try the live chat options found at http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/web-hosting-support.html Also, have you tried with your firewall temporarily disabled?

Ok, sorry about that. However, connecting to your account through ftp and submitting a ticket at the helpdesk are two different processes and two different addresses, unless you mean you are trying to access your cpanel (and not ftp), then this process would be through a webbrowser too. How are you accessing your public_html, through cpanel using one of the addresses, http://yourtchdomain.ext/cpanel or http://yourtchdomain.ext:2082 or https://yourtchdomain.ext:2083 or through a standalone ftp program? If the latter, have you tried using another ftp program? The ftp address and log in info should not be changed. The helpdesk have a completely different address than your domain so I can not see how this and the problem with the helpdesk would get you a malfunctioning computer unless there is something wrong with your computer (such as virus or anything else).

We will probably going to need a bit more info so... How´s the computer working otherwise? Is it acting up in general or when you do things related to the web? Have run virus and spyware scans and such things?
