What operating system are you using? Bob's instructions were assuming you are using Windows XP. An "Ad hoc" network is one that is an improvised or impromtu network.

The "cpg133" in the URL is the directory that your files are stored in. If you open up the file manager in CPanel and drill down to the :AJ Gallery" directory, you should see a folder called "cpg133".

Yes...as Don said, keep things very simple for now and put everything into your public_html folder. You'll create links to them from your index.html file. Advice: Since you're starting out, take things slow and easy and make sure you understand the concepts of what you're doing. It will make life a lot easier later on! Everyone started from this point, so don't think that any question is too silly! The only silly one is the one not asked! Hang in there...you'll eventually get it!

I have used many different Dells over the past few years and haven't had any major issues with them. (With the users, YES, but not with the computers themselves.)

I'm not a dreamweaver user, but I can tell you that it is a good practice to view your site in different browsers to get a compromise. Due to the way different browsers do things "behind the scenes", your site will look differently (most notably in IE). Most people will use IE, Firefox, and maybe Opera to get the best compromise between the three. There will always be subtle differences...your job is to make the differences as subtle as possible. (Which is not always easy!) There are "how-to" sites on the 'net that can help. Just do a google search for "web design how-to's" and you'll come up with hundreds. Oh...and welcome to the forums!

For anyone following this thread, a help desk ticket is the way to go on issues like this. Mods don't have access to the servers.
