The FreeFind 32MB limit is not the size of the site, rather the amount of total bandwith that they use everytime someone does a search accumulated on a monthly basis. The site I used it on averaged about 20,000 searches per month.

I've been using Mozilla for a while and yesterday downloaded Firebird. A very nice package indeed - except for one thing : no email. So in order to check my mail I have to open Mozilla or Netscape to get at it. Did I miss something?

Ouch! Working for a non-profit myself I can certainly empathize with your situation. Best Luck!

Hang in there, you can do it! Give me a shout if you think i could help.

Even if you took out the visible #echo var (2nd set) it should still work, here's what just came back to me: You may have to change the field names in the 404 form to match fields in you mail script (if you're sending it that way)

That is just amazing. Will be quite useful for many things indeed. Good tool to check web accesability too -
Ok, It's happening again. The code for that page in question has reverted back to the original, all by itself. (scroller shifted all the way to right in Mozilla) This is the 3rd time I've gone back and fixed it. Is a simple fix, just changing one table property does it but...... Some sort of a server caching problem? Fortunately this is only a test page but I was about to make it go live. Been like that on the current live page too, I just didn't realize it http://lyricsplayground.com/index_search.html (should change topic to Need Mozilla User...lol)

I used ' username '. I see it needs to be username@boxturt.com just like it is when I login through cpanel on any email but the primary account. Duh me. I hate it when I do stupid stuff like that . Thanks.

I never tried, until now, to use my Netscape (7.01) email client for my domain email. SMTP I will leave set as my ISP as Netscape doesn't like multiple outgoing servers. No problem there. Problem is the POP3 setting. According to my welcome email that setting should be mail.boxturt.com but when I try to login to retrieve the mail I get : Yes, the user name and password DO match.....lol All my other settings are correct, best I can tell. I tried using variations as well: pop.boxturt.com, pop.mail.boxturt.com, etc..... What did I miss?

Thanks to both of you Z! I see this is your first post so welcome!!

Thank YOU! Certainly there is little excuse to not make reasonable effort to make ones site perform well in major browsers. I could go into a major tirade (tyrade?) about huge companies not even bothering but I'll save that for another page!

Now that's wierd! I DID fix it last night and I just looked at source and it's back the way it was. Just changed it on my local copy, uploaded via ftp and it still didn't change. So I edited in Cpanel so at this very moment in time it's ok again. I wonder if I got gremlins?! Naughty

Terrific - thanks! I've since corrected the scroller positioning also. Si I guess all is well in "lyric land"

Thanks! *blush*blush* Excellent tune indeed! Come on over, we'll have ourselves a jam!

Hi Jim, thanks for checking the search box. I will hopefully get some further feedback on that although I am not too terribly concerned as my stats say I'm only averaging 3% Mac OS for the past couple months. Big thanks for telling me about the scroller. That's a new one (no java applet ) and though I usually check IE, NN, Mozilla and Opera I evidently did not check that time! Serves me right. Thanks again!

Come on, don't be shy now Please??

If anyone has access to a Mac would they mind terribly to take a peek at this test page? http://lyricsplayground.com/index_search.html Specifically the (almost) upper right search box and let me know if anything extraneous appears? It should just look like a regular search box but I've been told it is displaying the name and version of the script "RuterSearch MySQL Perl v3.5" viewed with a Mac. Thanks.
