  1. Nope, just open a ticket.
  2. Well, there isn't much to "setting up" SSL. You get your cert and have TCH install it, you can test with the shared SSL to start. Then it is just a matter of changing the server path, that you can do. What you need to do is sign up with one of the supported processors, I will assume that in the control panel somewhere you have the option to chose which one? Like a radio button or something? Then you can input your account information and it should operate behind the scenes. As an example, my online cart allows me to select what processor I am going to use. When I signed up with that processor they gave me some account information. I take that information and enter it into the module of my cart, it has fields for me to do that. This allows transactions to be processed with no input from me.
  3. kestaal.com, That is a correct understanding of the way the system works. Tracy, That is correct in your assumption that kestall was correct.
  4. I got the free version. I am looking at the classifieds.cgi and do not see anywhere that is asks for SSL. Let me ask this, what is your goal with the classifieds and the SSL? Give me a scenario on the steps to purchase something on your site.
  5. wiki.oscommerce.com is a good start forums.oscommerce.com is not bad if you do a deep search We make a good backup. Bavckground colors are in the CSS, edit the catalog/includes/language/english/english.php to get rid of the "This is a demonstration online-shop" part and the logo at the top is in the images folder and it is called oscommerce.gif. I just renamed my logo to that and overwrote the old file.
  6. Any time. Keep me posted. Thumbs Up
  7. I have found this, Long URL to Verisigns support for Payflow Link Not sure if it will help much though, I am betting you read that aready. Help me understand, as I see it you shouldnt need shared SSL for this to work. Doesnt PayFlow Link take you to the PayFlow site and process the transaction there and once done send the customer back to your site? I saw this in the instructions Have you tried it?
  8. Hey gang, I started my personal site using osCommerce. I like it as a shopping cart and think it works great, but great as a shopping cart. I wanted to add content but osc didn't really fit the bill for what I was looking for. So what does one do when they need something new? Go shopping, thats what. I came across some software that integrated osCommerce and PHP-Nuke. I like it rather well, I can change the theme on the fly. I can add content when I want, add products, even has a forum. So whats the problem? I do not like the fact that I can not completely edit the code for each page like I could osc. Each page had its own meta information as well as what was on each page in the content. I don't get that with this software, whether or not it matters, I like to add those things. It makes me feel better. I am looking for suggestions. I would like to keep osCommerce, I think it has value, but I need to integrate content and have forums. What would you suggest? Osc is 3 column so would I keep 3 column for the content, what would I use for it? I don't want to give it a blog look. What about the forums? Should the first thing one sees as the home page be the store or the content that leads to a store like it is now? I have time while I am working out issues with my merch provider so I think a rework is in order but I am not sure the best route to take.
  9. OK, In the config.php file it should be https://serverxx.totalchoicehosting.com/~cPanelusername Replace serverxx with your server number, mine would be server17. Replace ~cPanelusername with your cPanel login name.
  10. Are you using the shared SSL from TCH because you are pointing to https://www.sharedsslserver.com/ at the moment and that isnt us. If you click the link in my first post and follow those instructions you should get it to work with our SSL.
  11. Where did you get the software? I will have a look at it and see what I can find out.
  12. zellin, Have you gotten this resolved?
  13. murasaki, Sorry brother, I use osc and SSL but not payflow. I will see if I can find anything out for you. Give me a little time.
  14. If you are asking that if you buy an SSL for ****** can the entire domain be secure so if I visit ****** or ******/whatever it will be secure then the answer is yes.
  15. motarque, Got a link?
  16. You can try here; http://www.ashleyit.com/rs/jsrs/select/php/select.php looks like it is js though. This may be of help; http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default....ropdownmenu.asp maybe this; http://javascript.internet.com/generators/...-down-menu.html It looks like you are stuck with javascript as far as I can tell.
  17. You may want to drop an helpdesk ticket and make sure they are installed.
  18. The gorilla has access and so does Mike. I can get the information in a round about way so asking me can take longer than some of the others here. The gurus in red at the bottom of the message boards have greater access to things than do those of us in blue, something to keep in mind when asking questions. That said none of us here will never turn you away if we have an answer for you.
  19. Caliyo, You may want to look at Password protecting files as there are some suggestions there.
  20. Thomas, 25 is outgoing and 110 is incoming Andy, Has that domain propagated?
  21. Ali, Thought that may have been what was happening. Glad to see you have it working.
  22. Andy, Try this link; Shared SSL and osCommerce
  23. Try http://php.resourceindex.com/Complete_Scri...ord_Protection/ or http://www.hotscripts.com/CGI_and_Perl/Scr...ord_Protection/ I am sure there may be more and you will have to filter through some of these. You could also try creating a login page that when successful will redirect the user to the file as well.
  24. I have run osc and am running oscnuke and the test message I just sent worked fine. It shouldnt be a problem here, I believe it to be a settings issue. What do you have as the email address?
  25. I had a little goth girl linking to a picture on my site of a sword she got from her work and wanted to show all of her friends what it looked like. Well it was live journal and the content was syndicated to all of her friends sites. I was getting a few thousand hits to that image each day. I like to visit the sites that link to mine and see where people come from. I could tell by the writing in the journal that she wasn't too into religion so I renamed the image she was linking to and uploaded an image of a nun with the name of the sword on it. The linking stopped fast and I got to see how she felt about the change on her journal. It can be a bit of fun sometimes I think it depends on who is doing it and the severity of the resources it is using.
