  1. Yah, I've been on and off as well. Worked this morning. Works now. This was around 1:30 PST. I would think if the problem was on my end, I still wouldn't be able to get here. April Fool's was my guess, but if you didn't deny access to your forums, I figured you'd be concerned that somebody else did.
  2. Which new worm? I use Norton Corporate and it's updated every few days. Updated today and did a full scan with nothing found. The forum was the only place I saw the problem. I was able to navigate to other sites with no issues.
  3. Did the forums get hacked earlier? I swung by a few hours ago and instead of the board there was a picture and a link to some Quizno's commercial or something. Just wondering if that was your problem or my problem.
  4. Mine has a closing bracket. Could have been a typo.
  5. boots
  6. Isn't the default Admin password in XP blank? If you never set one, there isn't one?
  7. Couldn't anybody with knowledge of WP setup guess where your admin panel is anyway?
  8. You can go either way. If a computer is close to the router, hardwired is better. If it's far, go wireless.
  9. That's my vote.
  10. Not since you already bought a wireless router, no. You just need the adapters for your computers.
  11. Any brand will work, just make sure they are 802.11g if they are wireless.
  12. That makes more sense. You should be able to just go to Best Buy, buy a wireless router and two wireless cards (or two ethernet cards if you want to wire), plug it all in and voila. This stuff is very beginner-friendly these days. Check the ads in your Sunday paper for rebates and sales. A few weeks ago a D-Link Wireless-G router could be had for $20.
  13. Not a big fan of the daylight saving thing. If you want more sunlight, get up earlier.
  14. Weird. When I view source on the live page, I see two. When I save the page to my machine and view source, there's only one.
  15. Just curious, what is the model number of your cable modem? I've never seen USB only.
  16. David's suggestions plus add one more closing div at the end to close the beginning div tag for the sidebar text: ><div id="powered"> Powered by<br><a href="http://www.movabletype.org/">Movable Type 3.15</a><br> </div> //add one more closing div to close sidebar text </div> </div> <div id="center"> <div class="content"> After doing that, the test page on my machine looks good.
  17. I'm looking, but in the meantime, what did you change?
  18. Like Mike said, depends what you want to do with it. So far, the free version of MT has done what I need it to do. Why fix it if it ain't broke? -Tim
  19. By the way, I opened a help desk ticket and Alan Ho did a fine job of setting me straight. It was absolutley my bad. Short answer is that the problem was the way I had my PHP includes set up. Alan had some suggestions and I implemented them and it seems to have fixed the problem. Cheers. -Tim
  20. It's called a subdomain and it would all fall under the blah-blah umbrella. And it's very easy to do in cpanel. When you set up a subdomain a folder with that name is created under your main public_html directory. So megacolon.blah.com is the same as blah.com/megacolon/. If you have trouble setting it up, let us know. edit: bruce is too fast
  21. Are you just looking for a pretty link, or do not want people to know where they are at all? If you need to keep your domain anonymous, you could always use a free image host like ImageShack.
  22. Another option if you are sticking with dial-up is to get a dial-up router such as this one. I used to use something like this back in the day before high-speed.
  23. I use True's Image Gallery on my site. You can get the source here.
  24. Some copyright infringement resources at rightsforartists.com
  25. Could grab the email headers. Tells you how it got from him to you.
