  1. Well said, Lee. I am in 100% agreement with you.

  7. Gas here in Omaha, NE is $2.99 a gallon (cheapest), and as high as $3.39 a gallon. Just a few days ago I was commenting at how high the prices were when they were only $2.57. This is rediculous.
  8. I'll echo what David said above. I've been on a host that allowed their customers to use as many domains as they wanted, and people really abused that. Server performance was crap. Try visiting a site hosted by TCH, and you'll find that it's very responsive. TCH really is a quality host.
  9. I'll try that Rob, though it's really not a big deal to use the ISP SMTP server (saves a little bandwidth from my TCH account )
  10. Well family, tonight I did what I do best, and got up on my soap box again, and had a rant about our recent hurricane. You can view it on my blog (direct link). Feel free to post comments there (and here too if you'd like).
  11. You can have unlimited domains with the reseller accounts. You are limited only by your storage space/bandwidth.

  13. Hello Nylisk, first off welcome to the forums. For the question about multiple domains, if they all point to the same content, then you can "park" these domains on top of your main domain. So "www.tchdomain1.com" will go to the same place that "www.tchdomain.com" will. If you have multiple sites, each with their own domain, then you will either need seperate accounts, or a reseller account. As for mail, some ISP's block using an SMTP server other than their own. For instance, my ISP is Cox Communications. They do not allow use of any other SMTP server except for their own, so while I can check my email using regular pop (mail.mytchdomain.com), I have to send my mail through my ISP's SMTP server (but the mail will still have my tchdomain email address). However, I've noticed when I travel (specifically when I'm staying in hotels) I can't use my ISP's SMTP server (unless the hotel uses Cox also), so I have an alternate setup in my email program for my domain's SMTP as well, which I use when I'm away from home. As for the broken link, try http://www.tchstatus.com/ and that should work. Let me know if I wasn't clear enough or if you have any other questions. I'm confident you will like it here at TCH. At any rate, happy hunting!

  19. Yea, Opera plays kind-of funny with Gmail. For me, it works fine but the scroll bar is not along the right side (it's a little bit away from the right edge). Other than that I've really noticed no major issues. But I primarily use Opera to test my sites for cross-browser/platform compatibility.
  20. Ahh, indeed you did. Good job!
  21. I can't believe I forgot to post this earlier... for those of you using the ad-supported version of Opera, they are giving out free registration codes for their 10th anniversary! To get yours, go here: http://my.opera.com/community/party/reg.dml All you have to do is enter your email address and click submit. This goes for all versions of Opera except the mobile versions (sorry mobile users). Personally I like to keep Opera around to see how my designs look in all browsers. And why not, now you can get the no-ad version free! I don't know how much longer this promotion is going on though, so I'd suggest if you are interested you hurry. Enjoy family!
  22. Glad to hear you're ok Curtis. Phone circuits are busy so we haven't been able to get ahold of our family yet, but we're fairly confident they are ok.
  23. Being a business owner myself, I know it's not easy to please everybody. It's unfortunate when a customer is unhappy, however it happens. Personally, I haven't had many issues with TCH. And the few times I did, the help desk squared everything away for me. I do business with TCH because they haven't yet given me a reason not to. Since I've been here I've found that TCH is one of the best hosts out there, bar none. Also, you won't find this company hiding any negatives... you can read all negative reviews freely right here (and elsewhere on the net). However, you'll find there are more positives than negatives. And that speaks highly of a company.
  24. Good luck Curtis, and all who are in the area. I have family/friends in St. Martinville, as well as Baton Rouge. Stay safe. You all are in my prayers.
