Here's another question about multiple email accounts. When I log into cpanel and access Squirrel Mail, which email account is that instance?

I tried that again but I keep getting this: Any idea what I'm doing wroing?

My mistake...I was only entering the email 'name' (the characters to the left of the "@") but I should have been entering the full email address as the username. Is there a way to go directly to squirrel mail? I thought it was: domain.ext/sqmail but that didn't work.

I just created a second email account via the "Mail" link in cpanel. What methods can I use to login to that account and check/send email? Thanks.

Could it be something in the header of the email? That's about the only difference I can see between the email I send from my Webmail vs. my Yahoo Mail Plus account.

I'm not sure which forum to post this question because I'm not sure what is causing this: The far majority of email that I send via WebMail (Squirrel Mail) gets put in junk/spam/bulk boxes of recipient. I didn't realize this until I sent myself an email from my webmail to my yahoo and hotmail accounts and it was put in junk/spam box. Then I contacted people I had sent email to (via phone or different email service) and they said they didn't get the email or they found it in their junk/spam/bulk email boxes. Any idea what 'factors' email services use to determine which email they put into junk/bulk/spam? I usually only send Squirrel Mail to one or two email address at a time and it is not spam. Could I have some setting improperly set? Another odd thing about this is that I have a "Yahoo Mail Plus" that allows me to send email from Yahoo with the From: and email address of my WebMail account. Oddly these emails go to the recipients Inbox the majority of the time. I would have thought that email sent from Yahoo with the From: and email address of my WebMail account would have a likelier chance of being considered spam. Would anyone have any ideas how I can improve my chances of getting a Webmail email into the inbox instead of the junk box? Thanks.

Wow, I didn't realize the cpanel redirect was doing the same thing as your manual .htaccess file edit. I trust cPanel more than I do my ability to properly edit the .htaccess file.

Yes but I was wondering about the cpanel redirect and how that method might impact google indexing/spidering. I understand you used a method that involved editing the .htaccess file. Could google interpret/see a difference between the two methods? Thank you.

Do you think that by using the cpanel redirect it could hurt indexing by search engines? I had just noticed that I had used a javascript redirect (that I forgot I was using) on one of my vbulletin sites and after 3 years it was never indexed on google (as far as I can tell). Lesson learned.

Does anyone know if Bruce is referring to the redirects available through cpanel or is it some other method?

I just noticed that all the SENT folders for all of the sites hosted in my reseller account are empty. Oh nuts.

Last week I had about 10 sent messages in my SquirrelMail "SENT" folder. They were not there tonight. Is there a setting that cleans out the Sent folder after a specified amount of time?

I think I do have my Yahoo setup properly to read POP mail. It just works differently than I had anticipated--I was under the mis-impression that Yahoo would check the POP account periodically and display any new mail. I think you have choose to check your POP mail.

Is "embedding" the technique/process that I'm trying to do? Doesn't 'embedding' typically refer to an image/video that is hosted elsewhere but displaying/playing on another site (e.g., my site?).

Creating a database within the MySQL engine using cPanel. One of the first steps to setting up vBulletin is to create a database within the MySQL engine to hold vBulletin's data. Is there typical naming protocol to use when creating the database and user names so the vBulletin dB doesn't get confused with other databases for the website?
