That wasn't my excuse that was Rick's. But it could have been Cox and with their track record lately, I had to call and check anyhow. Not that they ever admit it when it's their fault. LOL Yes, I'm back up and runnning, thank you TCH Now I need to make a list of which sever each of my domains is on. I've never bothered doing this before, since it's so rare that anything like this happens with TCH. With other hosts I've used in the past, *down time* was a daily battle, but TCH has made me complacecent and lazy with the excellent service. Rock Sign

Rick says I'm on server 38, and there's now a page that says: Hey, it worked ! The SSL/TLS-aware Apache webserver was successfully installed on this website. I'm just waiting for them to put my website back. Self Edit: But I just got the email from Bill about the server failing, which must be 66, so actually I have no idea what server I'm on, or where I went, or when I'll be back. I participated in a craft fair yesterday and handed out hundreds of business cards. I learned my site was down from several prospective customers (4 of them special orders) that tried to access my site this morning. So I'm losing business and dealing with cranky people. Aren't y'all glad I'm such a happy agreeable person this morning? roflmao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They put a message page up: If you are a member of the general public: The fact that you are seeing this page indicates that the website you just visited is either experiencing problems, or is undergoing routine maintenance.

Well this stinks! I go to the Help Desk and get this message: Your ticket was not submitted as there are some possible answers in our knowledgebase, they are listed below. If your answer is not listed then please click the button at the bottom of this page. I've already checked all that stuff, if there had been an answer to my problem there, I wouldn't have submitted a ticket! grrrrrrrrrrrrrr Hi Charlotte! Glad to see your smiling face in here again! See?! It isn't just me. LOLOL I can't log in through FTP either. Server's down guys!

I called Cox. They say they're fine, it's a problem with TCH. But they always say they're fine. LOL I guess I'm off to the Help Desk ....

I can get into 3 of my domains, but not the 4th one. Why would my ISP have a problem with just one TCH server?
-
I can't get into my CPanel, it's down too. LOL And I have no idea how to do a trace route.
-
How can I figure out what my server number is? Besides the help desk. My site is down and I can't log into the CPanel to find the number. I checked all my email and it isn't listed there either. Any quick ways to do this?

Heat Presses & Transfers

Thank you Kevan! I bookmarked and been reading. Sure would be nice to be able to do my own stuff and get off CP. LOL -
Betty, I hand code my sites. Always have, ever since that first one I started in 1995. Why? Because I can't figure out how to use programs like Cute Site Builder and all the others. I'll never be a rocket scientist either. My brain just doesn't work that way, it won't absorb what it needs to know to use all those neat programs. ( Oh hush up Rob! - LOL ) I feel like a total idiot at times, but at least I can type out the code I need.

Anyone Else Not Get Emails Even Though You Have
danceswithscissors replied to rnmcd's topic in Open Discussion
I rarely get notifications and the few that do come in don't have any part of the message in them, just an url to come in here. I use Outlook Express and everything comes through, I use no filters, I have no strange firewalls. I figured Rob was intercepting my notifications and eating them. woooot -
Heat Presses & Transfers
danceswithscissors replied to danceswithscissors's topic in Open Discussion
I got ahold of an url where they sell the presses and supplies, but I need somebody to answer questions. Do these small, home, presses get so hot that I should set up shop in the garage or can I set them on the kitchen counter? What's the scientific process/explanation of heat transferring? Just things like that. LOL -
I need to find someone with knowledge about and experience with heat presses and tranfers. Anybody here into that?
