Did someone say Blackberry's? We....Haaaaa way to go Bill and Mike. What a great choice for a moblie device!! Sounds like I work for the company that makes the Blackberry...........Oh! that's right, I guess I do. All joking aside I think that the Blackberry is a great mobile communication device. I hope they work well for your desired needs.

In my opinion, for the main status page I would keep it simple. I would like to know when services are down on the server or problematic. May I recommend three colors. Green for all systems "OK" Amber for services that are having "issues" and Red for services "offline" Sometimes a service may still be running but running crippled. May I suggest using BigBrother for a monitoring systems details. That is what we run in our data centers. I think details have their place but not on a main status page. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you for all your help in making problems go away, maintaining a great service, providing excellent customer care, and finally for being the best webhosting company around. God Bless Russ

Hello TCH Family, I think that this is a great time of year to say a big "thank you" to all those that support the operation of TCH. I am sure that those that make TCH "happen" put in a sizable amount of time to make TCH a great place to be. I think it would be great if we could all leave a note of thanks to express our appreciation for the great job the TCH staff, moderators and family make each and everyday. Sincerely Thankful Russell Rock Sign

Hello TCH fam, Have any of you experienced the following too: A site resolves after a change is made to the DNS entries. Few hours later it resolves to the old settings. I made a change to one of my domain and for the last day is keeps resolving to the new entry and then back to the old. Wierd. Thanks

This is for internet bandwidth. I have used toast.net and it seems to do a good job. But am open to others too. Cheers

Hi, TCH Fam, I am looking for a reliable bandwidth testing site. Any suggestions? Thanks,

Rob, Thank you for your comments. They are appropriate and to the point. I understand what you are saying. It is hard to get everything done and I appreciate all those that work so hard to provide the service that TCH does. Kind Regards Russ Rock Sign

Jim, I am not bitter in anyway. I am simply voicing an opinion of service rendered. On another note you might want to consider how you address others in this forum. I personally find you offensive. I don't think my comments on this forum are rude, offensive or pointed as are your comments. I will drop the subject as it does not matter what i say or how I say it. My point remains the same. How about an updated help site. Good Day

Is it not true that the "help" page is designed to provide helpful information to TCH customers that "pay" for services rendered. This does not seem to be a "marketing" tool to me but a "service" tool that can utilized by TCH customers. With this is mind is it too much to ask for updated service tools. What good does it do when a customer has outdated tools in the "help" section. I wll submit a helpdesk ticket. Maybe then something will get done about it. I guess when one works for a multi-billion dollar international company that demands excellence and proactiveness from all employeed I guess it rubs off. Maybe instead of arguing with your customers you should consider the input and address issues as they arise. My bottom line is that I expect a well maintained help site. Kind Regards Russ

I am not upset at all. All I am saying is that when a product is supposed to be in production and it is not, it would be nice to be given information about why, etc. This is just professionalism in the industry. Yes the site that TCH currently has is functional but if you go to the /help page many of the links are outdated, and monitoring is not updated when the new servers that are added, in a timely manner. For example: server uptime page has been out of commission for at least 5 months, Server monitoring page only goes to 79 when there are now 84 servers. The link to the remote login to your server cpanel only goes to server 38. Do i need to say more. My point is.....a current website is a good resource or TCH customer to come to. Oh.....a current, functional and professional looking website seems to be a very important asset for a "webhosting" company..... "that's all i have to say about that" (quote from Forest Gump) Good day and may TCH always represent the best in every aspects of the hosting business. For most. they hit the mark 95% of the time. OK, not to be a pain but October 1st a redesigned TCH website was supposed to be up and running. While I understand that it did come online for a few minutes and then taken down due to problems. It would be nice to know when your customers can expect a website that is current, functional and ready for production. You announce to your customer that a site update is coming and then you are silent on the issue. Bottom line here folks is what is your plan. What is the plan?

Ok i have discovered the problem of folders getting deleted when using FP to upload a website: You need to make sure that the options are set to the following BEFORE publishing: Under the "PUBLISH" check the "changes pages only" under "CHANGES" check "use source file timestamps to determine changes since last publish" You can also use "all pages, overwritting pages already on destination" under publish. BUT you CAN'T use "determine changes by comparing source and destination webs" under "CHANGES". This is when folders are deleted.
-
Hello TCH fam, Any idea why Frontpage would delete folders during the publish process. Extension are enabled in CPANEL. I lost my subdomain folders in the Public_HTML. Do i need to have enable the extension for the subdomains to prevent this? Any help would be appreciated. Kindest Regards

This there a new release date for the redesigned website?

Bill, Dealing with human relationships and emotions I think is the most complex process that we deal with in our lifetimes. These two are so dynamic that forgiveness, healing and restoration are a must. My prayers are with you and those you love. (whoever they are) ~Sincerely

Hi, I really like the idea of regional meets. This would enable folks from all over the country to gather with other TCH members. I would even expand this idea to a global level. Maybe the HG or Staff could then travel to different locations and meet their customers. Seminars would be good as well, but what about a simple Q&A time. Then we can all draw on each others knowledge base. Regards

Thanks, to all that replied to this issue. End subject.

I am not breaking any TCH rules because all my domain are redirected to the home page of my hosted domain. (index) I'm complying with your policy. I still think you should clarify this in your policy. Maybe the Head Guru could check with a attorney that writes business policy. This way the policy would articulate clearer wording. (this is just my opinion....not to offend anybody.)
