I discovered that you need to use Intel's latest drivers to get the centrino to work with D-Links DWL-7000AP. If you don't, when you attempt to connect it will crash the AP. The intel software for centrino is very nice and works much bettter than the windows wireless wizard. Thanks for the help

The laptops adapter works fine with WPA on my D-link wireless router at home. It does not like the Dlink at work. The DHCP is running on one of our servers and not on the router. The assigned IP to the AP is within the range of the DHCP running on the server. It is strange that it does not work. Thanks

Built in adapter....centrino by intel

Hello TCH Family I just switched the configuration on our networks AP to use WPA-PSK. The keys are correct but I am getting stuck at "Acquiring network address" I have it configured as a node of the network. (i am using a static IP for the AP) I am not running DHCP on the AP but on the network. The firmware version is 1.07. Any idea i what could be causing this? and how do I correct it please!! Thanks for the help

I unplug my computer from my highspeed internet when I fix other folks PC. (IE, install NICs, software upgrades etc.....(downloading)). I have unplug this particular card maybe 10 X..... Thanks

Hello, I have been using D-Link DFE-530TX NICs and have had mulitple cards with problems with the RJ45 connector. After a few plug ins a cable will not click in (or lock) So I am thinking about switching all my networked PC's to the Netgear FA311. Opinions would be appeciated Also has anybody else had the connector problem with their D-Link NICs. Thanks so much for your opinions
