  10. I'll wait 'till it's all done, but at the moment I agree with Singer, I find the buttons hard to read and don't feel the colours go with the rest of the board. At the moment I prefer the old default. The new emoticons - I just love them Thumbs Up Andy
  11. Hi, As far as I am aware. If the pages are going to be identical - i.e. you just want godshaw.org and godshaw.com pointing at exactly the same files, then you only need one hosting acount. If they are different, then you need two. Hope that helps Andy
  12. Tracy, Well done, have a pat on the back from me to Andy PS. I've been meaning to check up on that hostitcheap link, since I've had one or two over the last couple of months
  13. At the moment I'm playing with absolute log analyser - you can download a free trial copy from ; http://www.absolutelog.com/ it reads TCH log files without any difficulty at all, and seems to give me most of the information I'm after. On the summary though, it tells you which pages have been hit when by google (and other search engines), what search words were used, which are the most common etc. and it will turn the IP addresses into domain names for you. On the negative side, it doesn't tell you which IP address google hit you - it just says google. I just opened the log in a text editor and searched for "googlebot", the IP address is at the beginning of that line. All mine were 64.68.xx.xx - which doesn't fit with 61.* but it's closer that 21x.* so I guess it's a fresh bot Andy
  14. Two countries seperated by a common language I had to think about that. Reminds me of the many times I've been over to the good old US and got myself into trouble using the wrong words... Andy
  15. KW, There are a number of ways, but all basically involve looking at the log file - usually with a friendly program If you use AWstats, scroll down to This should hopefully have "Googlebot (Google)" somewhere (if it hasn't, then you haven't been visited by google), followed by "Hits" (how many pages it has visited), and the time of the last visit. I download the log file to my hard disk and use a log analyser on it to identify which pages have been hit on which day. Andy
