  1. I just disabled spam assassin and tried again. No email arrived.
  2. 666 gives write permissions to everybody. Why does it need to have execute permissions as well??? Edit: rmulhern, you beat my post by 1 second
  3. As opposed to 666? Or are you just making sure we remember to chmod?
  4. Make sure that the directory /home/rmulher/public_html/UPLoaded_FILES/ actually exists. Also, make sure to chmod that directory to either 777 or 666. That is very important.
  5. My account is on Server 73
  6. I use webmail to read my TCH email.
  7. Can anybody shed some light on this: I registered at the forums at www.winamp.com with my tch email. The activation email never came to my email. I registered again with another email from the same tch account. Again, the activation email never came to my email. I registered a third time with a Yahoo account and the activation email came immediately to the Yahoo account. I had Spam Assassin disabled during this time.
  8. The features of the hosting packages all say Cpanel-8. Shouldn't it be Cpanel-9?
  9. On TCH-Status, on the Real-Time Stat's Page, After server 84, there is a line of Server-xx Server-xx Server-xx Server-xx and they all go to server 65.
  10. And TCH-Thomas is not there either.
  11. On the meet-the-guru's page, there are some missing people. Where is Lisa? Also, two of the names say "Click for photo" (Rick and Kevin)
  12. Thanks a lot! I didn't even realize that option was there. I think that did the trick
  13. I've got my own install of Squirrel Mail (and have had for a long time). Anyway, lately I have noticed that it logs me out too quick. When I'm typing a long email, and I type and type and type, and then push Send, it tells me I must login. Then, I log in, and the email I just typed on is long gone, and I have to start all over How can I increase the time for this? It used to be longer.
  14. Ah ha! I new I had seen those scripts before. I never know where they went. Thanks Thomas!!!
  15. Thanks for the technical info. By the way, I've always been a phpBB fan, it's opensource (therefore customizable) and it is FREE
  16. No, I get those same SQL errors - but it doesn't seem to do anything bad. I still get all the emails real quick.
  17. That definately works. I've done that plenty. Alternatively, you could make a php script to change the permissions on the file to 777, then delete/edit the file with FTP.
  18. Doesn't look like it: >Call to undefined function: mysql_create_db() in test.php on line 8
  19. That gets me a lot. I have to remember that the database_name and the user_name both have the cpanel_id in front of them, but the password has nothing in front of it. Other than that, your connection string looks correct...
  20. I'm sure there is a good reason, but why would you want to make a URL not a link by putting stars (or other symbols) into the url? I've seen that a whole lot around here and don't understand. Clicking on a link is much more convenient than copy and paste and replace symbols...
  21. Nobody would want to lose their ranking (number of posts) either.
  22. But did you add the user to the database? After creating the user, the user must be added to the database...
  23. You have to add the wildcard % or your home computer's IP address to the allowed section in CPanel. The hostname is www.****** Remember your database name and username has your cpanel username in it.
  24. Okay, that makes sense. Where?
