  1. Hey, TCH'ers - any sata drive pros here can tell me how long it should take to format NTFS on a 500 gig western digital drive? Seems to get to 4% and hang. If anyone has run into this problem this old non-sata experience man would appreciate any input. thanks in advance
  2. Thank You, Thank you.
  3. got it!! just installed floppy and loaded drivers on setup. Sata? Should be Satan.
  4. Did that. Can't seem to get any of them to work.
  5. I have a pc that is so infected it won't let me run antivirus, malwarebyte, or any of the others. It just shuts them down and denies access to them. I decided to re-install windows. However, it has a sata drive, and xp doesn't see it, then wants (f6 of course ) but it wants the sata drivers in floppy, which the pc doesn't have. I tried nlite, but can't get it to work. Any suggestions TCH 'ers?? thanks in advance

Just curious Tch'ers............ how do you feel about OPENDNS ?
  9. Ok. I went to appearances, ( because the little 1 inch squares that came on everywhere the mouse sat bugged me ), and all I did was change the effects from NORMAL to NONE. She is now working fine and retrieving 283 updates. Thanks a BUNCH for the help. I am newly trying the Linux family so you will no doubt see me here again.
  10. It didn't work. I tried a complete clean re-install. no good. I went to terminal to give commands, but the terminal window comes up a blank empty square on the screen and hangs. the pc is an older dell pentium III , 512 mg ram, 900 mhz - from what I can find , that should be fine as far as requirements.
  11. Thanks Alex, I'll try that and let you know.
  12. does anyone use Ubuntu? I just installed it on 2 computers. One works fine but the second one hangs up every time I try to get the 282 updates available. The first pc did it fine, but the 2nd just hangs. thanks in advance. ( new to Ubuntu )
  13. That's what I found too, actually. so I told her to get the error number next time it happens. she's a couple hours away going to law school so I will just have to wait until she gets that number. thanks, Thomas.
  14. Has anyone had any experience or run-ins with an error that says: " bad pool caller " ? This has happened on my daughters dell laptop with vista. Any suggestions? I told her to watch for the error number code, aside from that I have never run into that error. thanks.
  15. That's kind of what I thought. I think I will leave it as is for now and see how it goes. Thanks for everything.
  16. Thanks Carl. What are your thoughts on the empty htaccess?
  17. I don't use frontpage. I use html kit and css then upload everything
  18. Ok. I edited the .htaccess file and deleted everything in it. ( saved to notepad of course ) saved the htaccess file now I get access I was after for all browsers. However, is that good...... to have an EMPTY htaccess file?
  19. Well, I THOUGHT my htaccess was ok but I'm thinking I am doing something wrong. this is my file RewriteEngine on # -FrontPage- IndexIgnore .htaccess */.??* *~ *# */HEADER* */README* */_vti* <Limit GET POST> #The next line modified by DenyIP order allow,deny #The next line modified by DenyIP #deny from all allow from all </Limit> <Limit PUT DELETE> order deny,allow deny from all </Limit> AuthName www.michaelstreeter.com AuthUserFile /home/******/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.pwd AuthGroupFile /home/******/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.grp Options All -Indexes # the following was added by Mike #End of Mike's add-on <Files 403.shtml> order allow,deny allow from all </Files> deny from 202.28.46.4 deny from 82.204.219.251 deny from 122.224.146.23 deny from 82.98.86.162 RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$ RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://awesomeimages.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://awesomeimages.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://birdfeeders.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://birdfeeders.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://donswelding.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://donswelding.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://grandkids.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://grandkids.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://incense.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://incense.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://millsitelake.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://millsitelake.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://nascar.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://nascar.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://skeezik.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://skeezik.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.awesomeimages.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.awesomeimages.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.birdfeeders.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.birdfeeders.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.donswelding.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.donswelding.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.grandkids.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.grandkids.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.hazzystavern.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.hazzystavern.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.incense.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.incense.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.millsitelake.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.millsitelake.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.nascar.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.nascar.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.skeezik.michaelstreeter.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.skeezik.michaelstreeter.com$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.codydouglas.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.codydouglas.com$ [NC] RewriteRule .*\.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|bmp|html|htm|css)$ - [F,NC]

  21. I have links on the bottom of other websites that link back to mine. I just found that they are only producing a 404 page. Is there something I need to do to .htaccess in order for these links to work? thanks in advance.

Duh! I didn't think about mustang forums. thanks. I would guess we need a repro door and use hardware from existing.

Sure, but I only found door PARTS not a drivers complete door. Thought maybe one of the TCH ers might just be into that stuff enough to know. hello google again
  24. Does anyone happen to know where I might find a drivers door for a 1965 mustang? thanks.
  25. Or, I believe you can create the address list in Word and do all your merging there.
