Went to the site and they are doing away with Viper due to some vulnerablities . Maybe I better wait on that.

Hey, gang. Hope everyone is well. I have a new client that wants a Guest Book. I haven't messed with them very much at all so thought I would ask the best group of folks I know what their opinions are. (some hopefully well-placed browning there) Is the Advanced Guest Book here the best way to go? Is it hard to setup? thanks.

Hey gang. I have a question and hope this is the right place. A friend called me and they have a riding club. Lets call it " ride.com " The lady they had do their website got the domain for them in her name and built them a small club site. She then got mad and took the site down and won't sell them the domain name. Is there any reason they can't just buy " ride.org" and build themselves a new website? I thought that would be fine but would like some input. thanks in advance.

Verifierbug, black box, and some installers? Could anyone read this log file and find anything foul of nature? Thanks in advance mike I attached the txt file, but here's the paste if preferred. Thanks, Madman. The second link is the one I found. Looks like I should have what I need to clean his machine up. His daughter is very active on yahoo and ms instant msging programs. Personally I think machines run better when that junk isn't on them. Thanks again.

Just wondering..........has anyone had any run-ins with the Aurora Virus? And what is the best removal procedure. How about thnall1a??? I have a friend with both. thanks.
-
Ok. I created the IRPStackSize of 15 and it changed nothing. Changed the stacksize to 18, ( as per knowledge base ), no change.
-
I dont have Norton. I gave up on them some time ago. I did mention that the ipstack thingy wasn't there. I will have to check on how to put that in. Just got home from work, and I will go take a look at that article. ( kbase ). Thanks.

Thanks David. I tried that and the pagepool is at 0. I reinstalled sp2 - same result. I changed the pagefile on her pc because it was lower than on my pc. - same. I will try reinstalling sp2 on the wifes pc and try that. thanks.

Ok. I picked a folder and gave full sharing rights even to alter files. But it didn't give me any place that I could select " guest " or any other user. When I try to access it from my pc I still get the msg that I may not have permission and to contact the administrator. Then it always says: "not enough server storage is available to process this command" I've searched that phrase on the internet until I'm " blue in the face", Smurf-like. But I haven't given up. Thanks.
-
I have now searched the entire web for this problem to pretty much no avail. I went through the entire Microsoft article on home networking / sharing files. I find nothing wrong with what I have . Just only accesses one way. I find remarks about the IRPSTACKSIZE, but I don't find such an animal in the XP registry. I was thinking that this MAY have started after I installed SP2; ( it's been like this for awhile now ), but why not BOTH machines? hmmm. But If I get it............. I WILL SHARE the outcome.

Ok. So I found in Zone Alarm that my pc was set to Internet, so I changed it to trusted. Now both pc's are set to trusted with the only difference being that the wife's is ip address and mine is adapter subnet. And I still have the same problem. I can access anything I share files/printers, on my pc from hers, but not vice versa. When I go to workgroups I can see her pc and whatever I set to share on it, but I still get denied. "not enough server storage to process this command " is what I get. I even went into regedit and deleted all references to previous workgroups but it made no difference. computer names are right, workgroup name is the same. any Ideas?
-
Yes, I DO have zone alarm. I will look into that. thanks.
-
Howdy. I hope this is the right forum. I reset my pc and my wife's pc with new computer names and new workgroup name. I actually "unshared" everything I had shared on both. Then reset sharing on certain folders and printers. Well, If I sit at the wife's pc I can access everything I have shared on my pc, including the shared printer, which works fine. But when I sit at mine and try to access hers I get a msg that says "inaccessible" and that I "may not have permission to use this network resource". I don't get it. Both pc's access the internet just fine. any ideas? thanks in advance

EXCELLENT! Nasa................. we have ignition. Thanks guys. I love TCH. What a great group.

Ok, I get it. So then I could put a mailto tag on the page that would send their question to me and I would in turn send the answer. That should work alright. No?
-
Yes, but they can also be used to answer questions about a product you may be selling. I thought there might be a way to place it on a page saying, i.e., " enter any questions you have here" sort of thing. I've seen them on other pages.;
-
Hey TCHer's I created an autoresponder but I didn't find where it tells how I add it one of my pages. Can anyone shed some light on that for me? thanks
-
Thanks. I appreciate the input. Here's a link that also tells the deal. h_tp://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/howtobuy/addlic.mspx thanks again.

Hey gang! I believe it is illegal to load my xp home, that's installed on my pc, onto my laptop. At least that's how it looks in the EULA . Am I correct? What if my current pc blew up or something and I just built another? Sounds like I am unable, legally, to reinstall my xp on THAT pc either.
