  1. Bruce and Madman - I never did get an email about your responses. Sometimes that feature works sometimes it doesn't. thanks for your replies. I can't believe it's been this long . I have been so busy I haven't even gotten back here to look. Sorry. His main pc is hooked online with cable modem and he is wired to the router. The upstairs pc has the wireless setup. Neither can see each other and the main one is the only one that can get online. I went to that address, Madman, and I am about to go there and check those settings for them. Thanks very much. I'll let you know what happens in the event others encounter same. THANKS Rock Sign
  2. HI. I'm hoping someone can give me some insight as to why my son-in-laws wireless network doesn't network. He has xp home with cable modem hooked to router and wireless antenna setup on second pc, running 98se. The tray icon says that it has a "very good" signal but neither pc can see each other. Workgroup matches, tcp/ip installed, client for microsoft networks installed. Notta. They have a motorola router. thanks in advance for any help.

  5. Thanks, Don. I already have the subdomain created, but I don't know the difference between Agora and the other one, or which is better. Then, not sure how to set it up. Won't it just set up in public html folder ?
  6. Hey there TCH folks, how are ya? I am wondering if I am allowed to have a shopping cart on one of my subdomains to sell a product. If so is there a tutorial on setting it up etc.? thanks. Rock Sign

Was the security center bothersome? I use AVG and zone alarm on both and have already thought that I may not need their security center. Conflicts?

    Searches

it's my understanding that it's called a "reverse search" it searches the whole internet to find out marketing stats like: * How much Demand there is on the 'Net for that product * How much Competition you will be up against * What kind of Advertising others are using to sell that product * Who your Competitors are * How much they pay for Advertising * eBay Auction listings and bids for your product * The Keywords your competitors are using * ...and much more!

What I mean is a search device or program that will allow you to enter in, for example, wheatgrass and the results returned will tell how many people used that search criteria in, say, the last month. Rock Sign

Hey TCH guru guys! How are ya? I'm curious as to whether or not TCH has one of those search tools that allow you to enter search criteria to see, for example, how many people search for ..say.... owls or seasoning

    Firefox

Thanks, Bruce. Informative page. However, when I put the embed tag in ( <EMBED SRC="esbfinal.mid" AUTOSTART="TRUE" HIDDEN="FALSE"> ) it scrambled the background where it wanted the player to come up and claimed the page loaded but with errors ..... in IE. In Firefox, the music played but it was all blotchy where the player was supposed to come up. With the Meta tag both came up with the virus warning window asking if I wanted to download the midi file. Don't think people want to deal with that. So I went back to the old bg sound ao at least those poor IE users can hear the tune. Thanks for the help though. I will have to study up on firefox a little more and the embed tag to see what's happening.

So if the background sound tag isn't standard, even though it works with IE, how should it be in there to work with FIREFOX?

Sorry. Yes, I am referring to pages with background music. Will I need to uninstall present version first? Will I lose settings then?

Can anyone, ( Raul ? ), tell me why I get no sound on my Firefox 0.9.1 browser?
  23. So, I take it you are talking about email progs within browsers? I run firefox. But use outlook express for email. Looking for an alternative. BTW. Does anyone know that the "email me when someone responds to this message" thingy no longer is working? thanks. Rock Sign Rock Sign
  24. Hey TCH folks. Question: I use outlook express ( after I preview via poptray of course ) and I get sick of msn messenger popping in all the time. My daughter uses msn messenger and it opens with outlook, even though I tell it not to. Does anyone have an email program alternative to outlook express that easily views photos etc? thanks.
