  1. Madman, what she is looking at comes with a PCMCIA wireless card she can use in the laptop if the built-in wireless doesn't work.
  2. That will get you the router and card for your laptop. You will still need a wireless card or adapter for your desktop PC unless you direct cable (preferred for configuration) the desktop PC to the router.
  3. Sorry to see you go Alan, stop back anytime.
  4. Welcome to the family! Glad to have you here. Thumbs Up
  5. Eric, if you are dumping FrontPage because you can't get the form web-bot to work you should take a look at the Ultimate Form Mail script. Using this script you can make your FrontPage forms work. Or you can request help in the Looking for... forum and I am sure someone will be able to assist you in creating a form handler.
  6. Components that work in conjunction with the HTML to make the site interactive like forms and such where they have their own handlers for the forms. TCH does not support those. You would have to rely on building your forms and have them interact with a Perl or PHP cgi script.
  7. Yes, you can use NetObjects Fusion. You cannot use their WebDEV components though. These would be similar to FrontPage WebBots but are not supported.
  8. Seen this before, but it's still funny!
  9. Since you don't have shell access unless you are on a dedicated server you will have to download the tar .gz file an upload it to your web space and use the File Manager in cPanel to extract it.
  10. Please open a Help Desk ticket if the problem persists.
  11. While TCH may not support their WebDAV server components you should still be able to use this product and publish with FTP.
  12. Thomas, you can test this easy enough. Open a command prompt (DOS window). At the command prompt enter: ftp ftp.yourdomain.se When the login prompt appears enter: anonymous When the password prompt appears enter: you full email address You will then see it fail telling you that Anonymous logns are not allowed.
  13. Or you can leave it and sleep well knowing it will not get into your account.
  14. Open a Help Desk where prompted for the user name, password and server enter "unknown".
  15. I think cPanel creates the account by default. However TCH no longer supports anonymous FTP so it's not needed.
  16. Moving for organization. Welcome to the family, snowjay! Are you asking about FTP accounts you create in cPanel? If so, there is no quota that you can set that I am aware. You can limit to where the accounts can upload.
  17. Don't forget to put the user name with the address. So it would be: user@thisdomain.org.nz and user@homemaildomain.org.nz Just making it clear.
  18. Normally when you click a link to download something in a browser it will open in what ever application is associated with the file. To get around the MP3 from playing and just downloaded you will have to find a script that will force the download box to appear instead. Check out this forum post on how to force the download box.
  19. Stu, Just create a forwarder for the @thisdomain.org.nz to the @homemaildomain.org.nz and do not create an email account for it. You will get the results you desire. If you already have an account created, just delete it.
  20. It can take from 1 to 3 days for propogation to take place.
  21. Hi Joly, I don't know if the counter isn't working because you are accessing it via the sub domain (instead of the actual path) and the Frontpage webbot doesn't understand. But here is my opinion on counters. Counters are not necessary since you can access your stats via cPanel and see which pages are being viewed and how many times they have been viewed. Like I said, it's just my opinion.
  22. Alan, here is the info on this virus.
  23. Bill, thanks for the kind words and glad you are enjoying it here.
  24. Eric, I did a search on google and came up with three that might be worth looking into. http://www.easywebeditor.com http://www.webstudio.com http://xstandard.com
  25. With Invision you can set each forum to be moderated 4 different ways. 1. No moderation 2. Moderate all topics and replies 3. Moderate new topics but not replies 4. Moderate replies but not new topics And Invision is included in cPanel as a one click install.
