You should be able to install it. You might have to set the compatibilty mode to Windows 95/98 if it gives you problems.

Yes, when I transferred my domain here I was getting email at the old host and here for about a week. Then the old host quit getting any more. I created an additional POP3 account in my email program and used the IP numbers for the mail servers until it settled down.

Propgation can take up to 72 hours. Sometimes longer.

Nevermind! Finally found it!

Anyone know where to go to change the drive assignment of a DVD drive in Windows XP? In Windows 98 you did it using the Device Manager. I can find no way to do this in XP and I need to. Thanks

I use a program called PopTray )www.poptray.org) You can set up unlimited accounts I believe and also preview mail with it. As well as delete specific messages. Has a rules filter for spam detection too. Best of all it's FREE

No, sorry I don't but will try to find out. Or you can open a Help Desk ticket to support and I'm sure they can tell you.

If you can manage your DNS entries you can just leave your registrar as it is. All you need to do is point the DNS servers to TCH's servers. Nothing else needs to be done. If you are paying for the **** account and no longer need it then yes, delete it.

That's what parking is. You have your primary domain www.xyz.com, you also have www.xyz.net and www.xyz.org. No matter which they enter in the browser they will end up at your index page for www.xyz.com. There is no extra charge to park a domain.

Well if you don't care about any attachments you could always set up a rule in your email client for messages with attachments to be deleted from the server and not downloaded. I don't think you can specify the attachment type though.

Don't see it here Thomas, but I am running a highly aggressive ad-blocking hosts file.

While the logs get updated continuously AwStats runs once every 24 hours (depending on server load). If your stats have not updated in more than 48 hours then yes submit a help desk ticket (link above), as Lisa says, and report it.

I can't answer this but you may want to ask the same question in the phpBB forum as well. I'm sure someone there will have the answer. I do know that Invision would be able to handle it. http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/

<number>.ins.droptothetop.com Redirect To ...
TCH-Bruce replied to Ian's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
I don't know either but as Don says. Welcome to the family Ian! I'm sure someone will have a clue for you. -
I've brought it to the staffs attention. Thanks for the heads up.

No, you shouldn't. Just a copy of the document. Well, let me rephrase that. I create the files with .shtml extensions and I don't need them. You on the other hand are using the .html extension which must be redirected. Try it without a .htaccess file and see what happens. Then if that doesn't work either create a .htaccess file in that folder and add your redirect or rename the file 410.shtml.

Moving for organization. Are you using an FTP client?
-
Put a copy of error401.html in the sub folder as well. I had to do this to make it work with a 404 error doc.

I think the original question has been answered. Closing thread -
The username generation is now 100% automated. Didn't use to be. I forget when it changed. I think it was in January.

Which method finally worked for you?
-
Thomas, have you tried naming the file 401.shtml and placing it in the folder you want protected. Also you don't need to add anything to the .htaccess file for this to work. Also the document must be at least 512 bytes.
