Can't Get My Custom 404 Error Page To Work
TCH-Bruce replied to bjs's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
If you leave the extension .SHTML you should not need to add the ErrorDocument statement to the .htaccess file. Just to be clear. -

It's a file you need to create. You can create it directly using cPanel or you can create it offline and upload it to the server. -

Yes, it is currently being offered as a free download. I have incorporated it into a business site and the results pages look just like the rest of the content on the site. I had to create a header & footer HTML files with absolute links to the images and buttons the rest of the site uses. Just plug them into the settings and it builds the results pages with your content surrounding them. There are no ads and the only branding is a text link at the bottom of the results page stating Powered by: Fastfind with a link back to them.

Andrew, I am using Fastfind. I never got any further than looking at the ht site.

I created a separate file containing the search code and then edited all my pages to bring in that code snippet when being server like this: And here is the contents for the isearch.html file. If you would like to see it PM me and I'll send you the link. Since it's a business site I don't want to break forum guidelines.

Dnsbl.us.sorbs.net Blocking Mail From My Server?

Welcome to the family and forums. Please open a help desk ticket link above to support and provide them this information so that they can get started on getting the IP number off the list. -
That should be: Remove the trailing "/"

Fastfind works great. Only took a little over an hour to install, configure and modify to match the current site. If you follow their installation instructions you should have no problems getting it working quickly. And most of that time was editing every single page on my site to remove the old search engine. I chose to insert a PHP include this time around. Only one file to edit.

Well, that's more than 20,000 and the image is still correct, right?

84% is how full the /usr partition of the drive is. Your account is not on /usr it's on /home as are all other hosting accounts.

Sounds correct to me. I'm assuming you have your own copy of Squirrelmail and not the one in cPanel. Moving for oraganization and exposure.

They can enter www.****** to get to your site. They don't need to add the index.html for it to load. That is the default start page name.

Welcome to the family, Steve. I've found when doing HTML newsletters you need to have a fully qualified url for the background image. background-image: url (http...........);
-
Glad you got it sorted out.

I would rename that folder you created called backgrounds.html to "images". Any images you put into this folder can be put onto your web pages using this. If your domain name has not propogated yet you cannot get anything to display referencing your domain name. You would be able to display the pages you create using the information in your welcome email. Using the link as I referenced above the images would also display.
