It is possible that the tar archive may have been corrupt but there is no way of knowing that. Even though the support desk will not install/support 3rd party software they may be able to have a look and see what the cause of problem is.

I agree with MikeJ. PDF's are more portable than other formats. And if you embed fonts in the PDF it should render the same regardless of platform.

Hey Bob, thanks for the urban legend link. Our TV news ran this story as fact and when they did I wondered to myself, have these people ever seen a picture taken by a cellphone? I have a camera phone. Worst case scenario you would have to be at least a foot from the credit card to get a clear enough image. If someone is that close to me taking a picture I think I'd know about it.
