  7. Not sure, I am a noob when using rewrites in the .htaccess file but I am sure some of our other members that know how to do will chime in.
  8. Normally you use the mod_rewrte module of the server by adding rules and statements to your .htaccess file. Here is a link to a url rewriting tutorial that may help.

  11. Since it is your forum database that you want backed up the dbsender script I referred to above will compress and email you the file. Depending on how popular your forum is depends on whether or not email would be a good choice. The compression factor is quite good and email may work well for you.
  12. No, it only backs up databases. Sorry I misread your post. You can look through this thread to get ideas for doing a full backup. Don't forget that a full backup could be quite large depending on the size of your site and is better suited to be downloaded with FTP.
  13. Welcome to the forums, lareneg I would recommend using dbsender and then follow the directions in this thread to configure it. It's the one I use and I'm happy with it.
