Well I still read the forums with IE. About the only thing I use IE for anymore. -
I think if you replace step 5 with the next two steps it will also work. 5. Delete the folder created when you create the subdomain. 6. Rename the backup folder your subdomain folder name. This way you don't have to copy anything.

Paul, this happens in IE too. What I do when it does is hit the back button and select the link again. -
I don't think you will have a problem if you do as Paul suggests. Nobody will be able to access your blog until you get it moved back into the subdomain folder is all. And thanks Paul for offering the suggestion of renaming the current folder, removing the redirect and recreating a new subdomain with the same name. I was rushed for time when I responded and was going to suggest that. Another thing that may be possible is open a help desk ticket and explain what you want and they may be able to make it right without all these steps.

Only with a redirect which will do exactly what it's currently doing. Copy the contents of that folder to a new folder. Delete the subdomain and recreate it and you'll have what you want.

Welcome to the forum mc82 You should not create the folder before creating the subdomain either.

Select the file using cPanel's File Manager and in the upper right hand frame select extract file contents.

TCH does a number of security checks on all new clients, but if you are in Taiwan, they will only call if other issues are found, which need clarification. And they will consider the timezone you are in when calling.

I've had an increase in virus attachments recently and they are all bounced emails that I never sent. So someone has me in their address book that is infected and it's spoofing my address. Maybe the same is happening to you.
-
As Thomas said, enable Spam Assassin and also I suggest that you set your default email address to :fail: As Serpentine says TCH blocks some attachments but does no virus filtering. If you have email you are no doubt going to get email with virus attachments. That's a fact of internet life. All you can do is arm yourself with good anti-virus software and keep it updated.

Welcome to the forums ATY Sorry, don't know the answer either.

The remainder of the instructions is current. It was just updated in the last two months. Thanks for pointing out the mistakes.

You are correct, they are not in there. You need to add those lines to the mt.cfg fiile right below this section. ># The filesystem path to the 'db' directory, where your MT database # files are stored. You will probably need to change this when you # first install MT; instructions for doing so are in the Installation # Instructions, in INSTALLING THE MOVABLE TYPE APPLICATION CODE, Step 8. # DataSource ./db Add the following: ObjectDriver DBI::mysql Database yourcpanelname-databasename DBUser yourcpanelname-useryoucreated Notes: replace yourcpanelname with your actual cpanel name replace databasename with the name of the database you created replace useryoucreated with the name of the user you added to above database

They are there. It's been a while since I did an MT install but I remember them being pretty far down in the config file.

1) I don't use the relationship thing. I've read about it but it didn't make any sense to me. 2) I searched all over for how to do those external link icons. I can't remember where I finally found them. I'll email mine to you.

No, you don't want to add the trailing "/" while renaming the folder.

And let's not forget that this is done with automated scripts.
