These are shared servers. Adding steaming would put unnessary loads on the servers causing them to slow down. I have no clue of any automated way to monitor your client's sites.

I was the one to recommend fastfind and the reason I chose this script over others is it only searches my site. There are no ads inserted into the results pages. I have it on a commercial site and it's very annoying when someone enters a search term and the search results include competitors links. Go with what you need to get the job done. Test them all.

I upgraded last night and lost 2 extensions one of which I really liked the other I rarely used but I can wait for an update to the Google page rank extension. I installed over my current 1.0.7 version and had zero difficulty.

If you want a secure form mailing script TCH is recommending Ultimate Form Mailer. When you install UFM please rename it something other than contact.php.

Thanks Jim, I could have used this for a friend's machine. I got fed up with trying to fix it and told him to buy a new one! His old machine was Windows 98 so it really wasn't bad of me to tell him to get a new machine.

I use dbsender and here's how I have mine configured. I did not add the #! /usr/bin/php -q to the top of the file as you did. My dbsender folder is 770, the script itself is 644 My cron command is: >/use/bin/php -q /home/USERNAME/dbsender/dbsender.php

Tim is correct. The .htaccess file needs to be in what ever folder your blog is running in.

Way to go Paul Sorry my knowledge is limited when it comes to PHP. Haven't seen Raul or David online to tackle this one. Both of them are good with PHP.

I don't recommend mailto links for anyone but there are people that still insist on using them. You can read how to mask your email address. Yes, my scripts are site specific but I could have easily just used UFM.
