Well if it hadn't happened to me I probably never would have known what to do. One thing I learned from the experience is that not all plugin programmers know what they are doing.

Start removing your plugins one by one until you find out which one is causing it to slow down. I had this problem a while back and complained to Head Guru. Only after disabling all my plugins and turning them on one at a time was I able to find the one that was causing the problem.

Here is a copy of a tracert from my home using Road Runner. However your site took a long time to load. More than it did at work on my SBC DSL connection. You are connecting to two outside sources that I see for ads and they could be slowing down your site tremendously. What I would do is start taking things out (external) and see if it speeds up. I also see that you use Akismet and Bad Behavior. I don't use either and use Spam Karma instead. Whether or not they are slowing it down I don't know. But there are some things to possibly check. One more thing, I ran your blog though the validator and it came back with 11 errors.

You can copy the profile folder of your Firefox and that will be all you need to use it elsewhere. You can even get a copy of portable Firefox and copy your profile to it for use. To rid the machine of your files. I suggest a freeware app called Simple File Shredder. Oh, and congrats on the new job and house!

Are you behind a router? I've had that happen to me and I forget what I did to the router to allow it to run a trace.

Could just be traffic. I have no problems accessing the sites in your signature in Ohio. You could try running a tracert and see where it's slowing down.

Welcome to the fourns SteveIsCool It is wise to never set any files or folders to have write permissions for everyone unless absolutely necessary and then do so knowing there could be consequences.

I don't see a solution with the plugins listed. Why not work on filtering the other POP3 accounts before you fetch them?

I was just looking into w.bloggar today and it looked interesting. I've been using Performancing fir Firefox to write some of my blog entries. It is a Firefox plugin. Wordpress 2.0 has a WYSIWYG Ajax editor. I prefer to use the old UI though. Same with Performancing.
