After trying (and failing) to get a browser based WYSIWYG WordPress plugin to work, I have come across some standalone blog editors like w.bloggar/Zarthura (?). Any suggested TCH friendly solutions?

For instance, I created a sitemap.xml and had to give a 777 Permission to get an addon to use it properly... is this safe?

What should I do to keep WordPress useable & secure? Do I need to delete wp-config.php file once i've started? What type of file permissions should my files have?

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provided Using the TCH Instructions for MT, I am able to install MT on the server and get through most of the steps until I start dealing w/ mt.cgi. Randomlly while using it I get a 404 error, and I am unable to use the file. Any solutions? -Darrien tangentjournalism.com
