Welcome to the forums Rob You can start with any size plan and upgrade at any time simply by opening a ticket with the help desk. So say you start with the $4 or $5 plan you can easily upgrade later as your site becomes more popular. While you can use phpBB there is a forum that can be installed with a few clicks in Fantatico which is included with any TCH hosting account. The software is called Simple Machine Forums or SMF for short. The nice thing about SMF is their admin interface included a one-click update feature when they release updates. You are required to keep your site secure and keeping the scripts you use updated is a priority. As for downloading and uploading check out our Tutorial section of the forum. To configure on your own PC you would need to be running some sort of web server and PHP and MySQL.

Welcome to the forums lily. You select Web Protect in cpanel which will give you a list of folders in your web space. The ones with the locks in front of them are ones you have set user/pass. Select the folder you wish to change and you will see a list of users you have assigned access. Below that you can add a new user or you can enter an existing user and new password and select the change password button.

If you mean forum members it's listed at the bottom of the main index page. If you are asking how many customers I don't think that's a number that would be divuldged.

My apologies, that should have included a NOT able to POP an email account. Not that is not how you authenticate, you use your email address and password, not your cPanelname. I see that you have it sorted out with Don't help. Good job.

No, you do not want to delete this account. This is where errors from the server will be sent normally. I have rarely heard of anyone being able to POP their email account from any of the TCH servers or any others for that matter as long as your email address and password is correct and you are popping mail.yourdomain.ext. Sending is another issue, many people have problems sending because they don't validate before sending.

Not that I am aware of. I don't use webmail and have AntiSPam Servant client side to catch anything Spam Assassin misses.

First of all you shouldn't be using your cPanel account name for email purposes. You would do better to create actual email address for your domain. Your cPanel email address is not yourcPanelname@yourTCHdomain.ext it is yourcPanelname@serverxx.tchmachines.com or something similar after the @-sign.

But it would teach you the correct positioning of the sticks. Consider the band training wheels.

Thomas, the simplest way (I've been told) to learn to use chopsticks is to use a rubber band to secure the two together at the opposite end you will be picking up food. Then you control opening and closing them to capture the food.

No problem, glad you figured it out. Actually you used the right terminology "DELETE TOPIC" and I got it wrong. Sorry for leading you on a wild goose chase.

To delete a forum select Management in the Admin control panel. Your forums will be listed and there is a column labeled "Delete" click the link to delete a particular forum. To lock a forum select Permissions in the Admin control panel. Select the forum from the dropdown list. Set appropriate permissions to hide or disallow posts to that forum. Or select Edit from the above screen and uncheck the Enabled box.

Could be you were listed as a blind Cc which you would not see in the headers. Did the person it was addressed to also get a copy?

Squirrel Mail is part of the cPanel install. There is a bug currently. When it's fixed it will be pushed out to the servers.

Well, I have used plenty of WP plugins by finding them with Google and have not had any preoblems thus far. But yes, I understand your concerns. And I won't install a plugin if I didn't think I could trust the person that wrote it.
