  2. The operating system of the server you are on is maintained by TotalChoice. The contents of your site are your responsibility. Not knowing what is on your site it would be hard for someone to let you know if it needed updating or not. If you are using a content management system I'm sure there have been updates to it and they should be applied. If you are running any scripts they may or may not need updating. There is nothing you can do to prevent spam. If you have a domain, you will get spam. You don't even need a domain to get spam, you can get spam just by having an email account (anywhere). If you have concerns about your account you can open a ticket with the help desk and ask the techs to have a look.
  3. To use that analogy why run an AV program at all? The biggest problem I see with people and their AV choice is they don't keep it updated. Not updating it is the same as not having it on there at all. Glad it helped.
  4. Color me stupid. The *nix touch command with the -t flag allows you to modify the dates. Should have looked up the man page before answering.

  7. I still recommend running Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware program. It catches a lot of things an anti-virus program will not.
  8. You can't change the time stamp as far as I know. It would be better to name the documents with the date.

  11. Thanks Ty. I looked all over and didn't see that.
  12. I agree with Bob, there is nothing wrong with AVG, Avast and several other free anti-virus solutions. I personally use Avast.
  13. There used to be a way to reset the file manager so that you see the dialog window when launching it (that's where the show hidden files is located), but I can't find it and it's not in the Settings function. If you open a ticket with the help desk they can reset the file manager for you so you can see the dialog.
  14. Silly me. You are right.
  15. I would also try running Spybot Search & Destroy as well as Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
  16. Thanks Thomas
  17. You are correct and normally I tell people to manually install vs. using Fantastico.
  18. That's the Firefox mobile beta. I've heard good things about it. Have you tried Opera Mini? It's been around for a while now and not beta.
