Fantastico Mismatch (post-nuke, Phpnuke)
TCH-Dick replied to mfuger's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
We do not provide either of these scripts. If you are seeing them in Fantastico then it is by error, and would be corrected during the next update. -
For those of you that are considering trying out The Bat!, we now have a howto page for this email client. You can view this new help page at http://totalchoicehosting.com/help/thebat.htm Thanks to Deverill for taking the time to create and submit this howto.

Welcome aboard Peter.

I had this same issue recently and I'm assuming your old drive was formatted to NTFS. If that's the case just follow the instructions here or here.

I'm not a big fan of FrontPage, however that's not why I'm posting. I'm sure you know that the Office XP/FrontPage 2002 life cycle expired on 7/11/2006. This includes the FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions for Apache. This means there is a possibility that there will come a time when they are no longer offered by many Linux hosts. For now the current version of 2002 Server Extensions has no known issues and does support FrontPage 2003 with some limitations. What I am interested in knowing is if you have seen any loss of functionality due to the difference in available features. Would you continue to use it without the FrontPage Server Extensions? Would you move to Windows hosting just to take advantage of any of these features? Thanks

Should Tch Lose My Business And Enndorsement?
TCH-Dick replied to Win's topic in Reviews of TotalChoice Hosting
Hi Win, Thanks for such kinds words and I am glad I was able to assist you. During our conversation you provided valuable insight to what our customers experience using the help desk. With the feedback you gave me and the emails that I received from other customers, we will be announcing changes to our help desk for the new year. As always, thank you for choosing TotalChoice and let me know if I can assist you. -
Unless you are connecting to a remote server the setting should be "localhost".

Great Price & Superior Service.

Hi MIke, Just wanted to thank you for the kind review and let you know your new account is now active. -
Open a ticket please.

Advanced Guestbook, the one that used to be available in cPanel.

Your site was not hacked, but your password may be compromised. I have dug through the several tickets you submitted as well as reviewed your site. The files and FTP accounts you are trying to delete are supposed to be there. The only thing wrong with your site is that you are hosting a guestbook that allows anyone to comment. This has allowed someone to post thousands of I AM A SPAMMER ads to your site. You have already changed your pass, so if you are still concerned we can wipe the site clean.

I tried once but my boss said was I not allowed to. When you see him, ask him if I can have the day off.

I purchased this same mouse for my notebook (guess I should have read the package) and it drove me nuts. I still use it but its annoying when in a darkened room. So I'm on the right subject, my notbook is running XP.
-
Really? I was just joking but I will try it now. If I'm not back soon........
-
I guess, I always just stick my tongue to it.

It should not be on any of our servers and yes it will removed. This is the worst piece of software we have ever seen. Many cPanel customers have begged cPanel to remove it completely. It is buggy, crashes due to mail loops and generates more unwanted mail than it prevents.

Locate the following in /public_html/directory/includes/config.php >// initialize database if (!$dbh=mysql_pconnect ($db_hostname, $db_username, $db_password)) { echo mysql_error (); exit; } mysql_select_db($db_name, $dbh); and change to >// initialize database if (!$dbh=mysql_connect ($db_hostname, $db_username, $db_password)) { echo mysql_error (); exit; } mysql_select_db($db_name, $dbh); The config file appears to be created by the script so whenever you update the script make sure you check config.php.

Domain Transferred Now Problem Logging In
TCH-Dick replied to greenworld's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Nah, there is no such thing as too much coffee. Glad you got it all sorted and let us know if you need anything else. -
Since you are using IPB you can also ban via the Admin CP. Go to the Management tab then Word & Ban Filters > Manage Ban Filters. Here you can ban by IP, Email, Or Name.
-
In your cPanel locate the FTP Manager, select FTP Accounts, select Add FTP Account, then just review the directions and complete the new account details.

If you are just providing them a directory/sub-domain then you are fine. It's when you start pointing/redirecting a domain to their directory/sub-domain, that you are violating the TOS/AUP. Just keep in mind that you are responsible for all content hosted on your site and make them aware of what they can upload.

1. How can my administrators manage it. They can access the server via cPanel and SSH 2. How quick to set up the account. This depends on client status, availability, and time to burn in. Typically 3-5 days, we do not provide instant dedicated servers. 3. Do you install custom software on behalf of clients. No, but we will assist you depending on your plan. Please review our page on Unmanaged versus Fully Managed located at http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/web-host...ed-compare.html 4. Can i get a refund if I discover that I am unable to install my software on th server? Not on a dedicated server. If this is a concern you should check the software requirements prior to purchasing.
