    Tim, what happens when the power goes out with no land line? When this happened in Feburary for three days, the local cell towers went down too. I had to use the land line for long distance

To back up your registry In XP go to the start button click on run type in regedit this will load the registry the click on file > export At the top of the window that comes up is save in: it is most likely pointing to My Documents you can click the drop down button at the end of the line to see where you are navigate to a folder where you want to save you can create a folder by clicking the folder icon with a red asterisk on it then type in a file name I like to use the date like 20060501 before I mess with xx program Then later if you need to restore the backup go back to regedit and file < import find the file and click on it and select open. Does this help?

  13. I just went to your site/cpanel and see the cpanel login Do you see it now?

  20. Welcome to the forums Matt As long as the cgi script is not a variation of form mail, which is dissabled, check on the permissions to see if it is allowed to execute. Use ftp or your cpanel to change permissions as the first step to see if it helps.
  21. If you do install Xampp just create a folder below htdocs and point your browser to http://localhost/folder to see your site.

  23. You might be interested in your own Apache server to develop your site on your computer. Many of us use this to create and modify our sites locally first then upload when finished. XAMPP is an easy to install Apache distribution containing MySQL, PHP and Perl Its easy to install and use.
