Welcome to the forum, Deedre Did you upgrade by over writing the old files or remove the old files and put all new files in the folder? Some times old files are not replaced and may be still the problem. Make sure to have backups of your database config.

On your computer go into the folder where you unzipped the smf install file look in the folder themes/default (or which ever theme you are using) and edit index.template.php search for the logo you will need to edit that area.
