  1. I wondered what it was until I saw more than 10 entries, so don't feel bad.
  2. Ok here is the settings, I used Mozzilla (like NS6) under EDIT > Publishing Site Settings >publishing address, enter ip/public_html login name username password *********** Hope this helps
  3. As you probably know this drop down is for when your entries excede the number per page, that you set, 10 is the default I think. So you can jump to a group of entries. like 1-9, 10-19........ and the word guestbook jumps to the most recent. it seems to be a php script that creates it. I remember seeing it, but not sure how you would add to it. Will keep an eye on this topic. Good luck.
  4. Can you access a control panel to change the DNS? If so that is all you need, and you can tranfer the domain later. Other wise you will have to ask them to change it, or transfer the domain.
  5. In netscape, use edit > publish site settings in publishing address put ftp.mysite.com/public_html/ or ftp.ip/~user/public_html/ or if you want to use a sub folder ftp.ip/~user/public_html/foldername/ Hope this is what you wanted

  7. LOL, Thomas, just click on the track this topic link, at the bottom of this page. You can also track a forum by cilcking on the link at the top right of a forum. Have a nice day my friend, -sköldpadda
  8. Hi Charlotte, glad you found a form that works for you. I am going to look at it, always nice to see if there is something better. And love your site. Just got PSP7, and still reading the book, big change from PS. So I will have to try your tutorials, when I get to know the program better.
  9. WOW very Cool! what is that about a 5 pixel offset for one of the images? And maybe a table background image and cell image on top? Yes I admit , very hard, and not worth the effort, and should fool most. hope you don't mind if I play with it. Had me for a while, til I changed them to rgb to mix them back. Looked at source for first page, opened second in new window, saved as to get the two images in IE6 coverted to rgb, mixed in PS, offset one image vertically about 5 pixels. Very Nice!
  10. And Welcome to the Family! come back anytime you need help!
  11. Set up a forward to :fail:
  12. You are welcome, and let me know if you need help. Try the form on the demo site to see what the thank you message looks like, and I will forward the email I receive from the form, to you. And now I have to read up on PSP7, just arrived today.
  13. If http://IP#/~username loads your site then http://IP#/~username/forum or whatever folder you created should load your forum. You may want to goto your cpanel then file manager click on the icon for public_html and check to see if the forum folder is there or if its name is different than you think. If this does not work, then perhaps a help desk ticket is in order. Hang in there, the people here are very helpful. And welcome to the family
  14. Here is a demo I made for a friend, its not done, but might help. http://csb.thepetscorner.com/forms/ Also there is a docs.rtf file, in the zip file, that can help.
  15. And Welcome to the family!
  16. When you are ready to try forms, you may want to look at Phorm a PHP program for processing HTML forms If you need help, just post here. edit --------------- ha, Lianna beat me to it
  17. From cpanel launch file manager, scroll down to public_html (where your site is) click on the folder icon for public_html then scroll down and you should see .htaccess click on its name and on the right click on show file. Then you will see the contents. To learn more about htaccess see Using .htaccess Files with Apache and Apache HTTP Server Configuration Files and .htaccess Magic be careful and make a backup.
