I have the Norton Antivirus program. I like it, but the last time I renewed the annual pattern, it was shall I say not the best experiance. It updated the program also. Then it would try to stay connected to the internet all the time, and me with a dial-up at the time Their web site said they had heard of this, but could not duplicate it, followed by about 500 customers that had been able to Their advice was to dissable connect to the internet????? I had to reinstall the last back up of the Norton folder. SystemWorks: A friend said it was great. I tried it, it slowed my system down so much, and hung up a lot. To be fair, Norton has alway been a good product, so it may be my older hardware and 98se. I may try AVG next time, thanks Lianna

I have been using the free version, for about two years now. No trouble even at full level of security. Give oscar and the others a treat from me

Nomally I would say yes to buy a program, but I know four people that bought the pro version and had trouble. Of course it may be a combination of older hardware and os. I have 98se and had trouble.

Samantha, I have a lot of confidence in the free Zone Alarm. It stops every thing from going out unless I ok it. I run it with both security levels up full. Kick Me

Jack, what is the status of FormMail? I thought is was disabled see this thread In any case if it is dissabled, there have been a lot of posts here about php forms, which are more secure.

My ISP took three full days to update, I saw the site at work, but not at home. It can drive you nuts. It's hard to wait for someting like this. But what can you do. I called my cable company and local people had no idea what I was talking about. I just had to wait Yuck!

Samantha, I am on cable and use the free ZoneAlarm, and have no problem. The first time I went to publish, it asked if it was ok for CSB to send to the internet, I clicked remember and yes. And no problems since. You will want to dissable Show alerts popup under the alerts window, or it will be poping up a lot with cable.

Thomas, you can make the error page in CSB, then view the source and copy it. Goto your control panel>Site managment>Custom error pages. Click on 404 wrong page, this will take you to a window where you can paste the source code. And later edit it there, to add internal variables like Requested URL like after the text "you have reached this page in error" you can click on the button above the window for Requested URL to insert it there, which will insert <!--#echo var="REQUEST_URI" --> after the text. Then at the bottom click save. Hope this helps
