Yes you can read about it the Wordpress section. And no you do not have shell access.

Welcome to the forums to install phpbb , you will need to go to their web site and download the latest version and unzip the download to a folder on your computer. Then follow their directions in the folder you unzipped to. Because phpbb is hacked so often it is no longer in your fantastico. However SMF an excellent forum is in fantastico and a quick install there.

True good point. If you are going by a page counter it may not be accurate. Most increment with each page refresh. Check your stats.
