  13. Lets double check some things. using ftp goto your account and goto the root (above public_html) there should be a folder dada_files (lower case) with permissions of 777 inside public_html/cgi-bin you should see a folder dada (lower case) permission 755 inside of public_html/cgi-bin/dada/ you should see a folder DADA (upper case) permisions of 755 and the file mail.cgi permissions of 755 inside of public_html/cgi-bin/dada/DADA folder is Config.pm where you changed the parts according to the instructions you linked to file (Config.pm) find and change the parts =cut $PROGRAM_ROOT_PASSWORD = 'masterpassword'; =pod and then =cut $FILES = '/home/cpanelname/dada_files'; =pod and =cut $MAILPROG = '/usr/sbin/sendmail'; =pod is fine and =cut $PROGRAM_URL ='http://www.******/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi'; =pod then goto the above url and create a list let us know if that works.

  16. Congrats Deborah Now be sure to go into cpanel > backup and click on the link to download the database backup. I do this regularly. Then if need be I can install from scratch with the same database name and upload the database. And back in business Don't be a stranger now that you have it working
  17. No they are in different folders, and the normal page for any folder is index.html or index.htm or index.php That is what your server will look for in any folder. If you do not have an index page in your public_html folder, then any one visiting you will see all your files and folders. So its a good idea to have an index page in your root folder (public_html)
  18. I switched to a password manager from our TotalChoiceHosting Help Site > freebies called Any Password, its encrypted. Now I can use it to make random passwords and not worry about forgetting them.
  19. Whoops forgot to ask, how is the site coming along?
  20. Are you kidding! We are afraid of scaring you Beside crazy is our middle name
  21. The TotalChoiceHosting help site has some instructions for Coppermine and Gallery that may be of some help.
  22. You might want to create a new guestbook I think you can edit the old db backup to insert into new db using phpmyadmin I think if you extract from the back up db the part -- -- Dumping data for table `book_data` -- down to the end of that section and save it as a text file to insert with phpmyadmin With a new second guestbook you have nothing to lose. I seem to remember doing this a while back.
  23. Ok I just created a subdomain in cpanel then using cpanel > webprotect I added the folder that was created with a user Now if I try to go to the folder or subdomain I only need to login once. Remember to close your browser if you visited the folder before adding the web protect.
  24. You say you have a folder and then setup a subdomin redirect? This may not be the problem, but normally you just create the subdomain in cpanel and it creates the folder and sets up the redirection. I have seen where adding a subdomain to an existing folder can cause a problem. And then sometimes adding your own redirection can add more problems. Can you try the same thing on a new subdomain created in cpanel then add the password protection.
  25. Very nice, thanks for letting us know Thumbs Up
