  2. Congratulations, Steve! Another great choice What a great day !
  3. When you purchased the domain name you should have received an e-mail with the login details, you can login here then look for change DNS I think under account settings.
  4. I am still using the 1.0 preview, I forgot to upgrade, because I have had no problems and PDFs load fine. IE on the other hand I haven't used or updated in so long, I am afraid to use it I did have to save the prefs and delete extensions and the profile when I upgraded to 1.0.
  5. LOL you can do like me and hold a critter up to your ear to distract them
  6. Did you change the DNS as per your welcome e-mail? If you purchased it from TCH, it should be set, but you can log into your domain name control panel and check on it or change it. It used to take up to 72 hours to propagate, but it seems to take less time now.
  7. Just put n/a for user and password, give all the details of the second account and ask for help on the welcome e-mail
  8. Congratulations RobertM excellant choice, Robert has alway been very helpful

  10. Can you log into your cpanel > web mail > main account and send and receive e-mail? If so then it may be your e-mail client or some setting that has changed. If not please open a help ticket (link at top of this page). Let us know about the web mail and we can try to go from there.
  11. You can goto the forum for your server and subscribe to it then you will get an e-mail if there is an announcement of any problems for that server, that is prividing you are not using an e-mail address at your site to receive e-mails from this forum.
  12. Welcome to the Family RP and your new home! We really are like family here. So if you need anything, just ask your new family! We love to help
  13. Remember a subdomain is really a folder with a little redirection. First goto cpanel > subdomains and type in a name for the subdomain lets say we use flowers, then click on ADD thats all you need to do to create the subdomain. If you look at the public_html folder, you will see a folder called flowers Now for the user, in cpanel > ftp manager click on ftp accounts then click on the link [add ftp account] type in a user name and password and quota (how much space they can use). lets say we use tulip for the user and petals for the password and 10 for the quota (10 meg) for the folder name put flowers Now the user will use ftp to access the folder flower to upload by seting up an ftp client as follows host: ftp.domain.ext user name: tulip@domain.ext password: petals remote dir: (leave blank) check (use passive mode) And they will only have access to the folder flowers and below but not above that folder. and you can view the folder as flowers.domain.ext or domain.ext/flowers
  14. I don't know about that search, but there should be many on hotscripts that may be easier and better.
  15. You are talking about cgi scripts that are shared on the server, that is why you cannot see them.
  16. Welcome to the Family and your new home! As mentioned you need to create the database then a user for the database with a password for that user then add that user to the database all in mysql in your cpanel the user and password for your hosting account are not needed. We really are like family here. So if you need anything, just ask your new family! We love to help

  19. Welcome to the Family Noiz and your new home! I think the amount of info from your awstats might be too much to display to visitors. I would think something from hotscripts might work for you. 23. Yes, just put the files into a folder and then e-mail your client the link to the folder all they have to do is visit the link right click a file and select save as to save to their computer. Or you can create a simple index.html page for that folder and put links to the files on that page so the client can just click on a link to be prompted to open or save the file.
