This is what I use, Auto Mysql Backup as pointed out by our good friend Raul. It both saves backup on my site and can e-mail them to me.

Welcome to the forums, programthisweb For others with this problem, if you are using an ftp program, most will not show hidden files like the .htaccess file by default. They generally have an option to show hidden files. You can also see the file in your cpanel > file manager.

Password Protect Directories - Is It Possible?

Welcome to the forum fiberse I know you can protect a directory in cpanel, but without the passowrd, they weill see a not authorized to view this directory. Not sure what you mean by -
When I moved from a free host to my own domain and space I used a 5 second meta refresh to the new domain and put a message about the move with a link to the new domain. Google found it within a week.

Your gmail address in on your site. So its probably been harvested by spam bots, or others. I found out the hard way about this years ago. If you want people to contact you I would use a form that hard codes your email in the form processor.

Robot.txt File Is Not Correct

Robots.txt is a file not a folder. it goes in your public_html folder. Here is a site for more information. And this one has a robots file generator. -

Welcome to the forums Mike It could be a routing issue between you and the servers. You can open a help desk ticket (link at top of page) to tech support to ask if they have any trouble connecting to your account with ftp.

Did you have to enter your cpanel password for the broken link page you show above?

In looking at your above posts did you enter your password for the It may have set the redirect. If so remove it in cpanel and change your password.
